Okay! This is my first Warrior Cats story that I actually plan to publish! I do not own Warrior Cats, Erin Hunter does. But I did write this story by myself and own the idea of the story. So now we begin.
"Hurry up, Stonepaw!" Scratchpaw twisted his head around and yowled at the grayish-blue tom. "Yes, Stonepaw. Catch up to the group...now!" Scratchpaw's mentor, Dovewing ordered. Stonepaw had been terrorized his whole life. His father and mother completely ignored their kits so that caused Stonepaw's siblings to take their anger out on Stonepaw, the runt of the litter. This was Stonepaw's second gathering as an apprentice, though he had already been an apprentice for three moons. "Yeah, hurry up Stonedwarf! You don't want to fall off the tree bridge like you did last time!" Firepaw, Stonepaw's sister jeered. This sent Scalepaw cascading into a fit of laughter. "Quiet Scalepaw, or else you'll fall into the river! You're squealing so much you wouldn't even notice, you mouse-brain!" Stonepaw snapped. For nine moons he had put up with their constant teasing and now he had finally snapped. "Stonepaw, you should never speak to your brother like that! Keep your head down!" Rosepetal, who was the last cat at the back of the patrol ordered. Stonepaw obeyed his mentor and stared at the forest floor silently with his head bowed. But when Rosepetal's gaze finally lifted off of him he tip-toed up to Dovewing and whispered, "You must be glad to see that tom from ShadowClan again. Tigerheart, was it?" Then Stonepaw silently tip-toed back to his spot with his head low a moment before Dovewing's head darted up and looked around quickly. The patrol stopped. They had reached the fallen tree that would take them to the island where the gatherings took place. Bramblestar led ThunderClan across the tree. Stonepaw unsheathed his claws into the wet and slippery bark. He didn't want to make a fool of himself and fall in again. Suddenly a strong shoulder rammed into Stonepaw's side, sending him flying off the log into the swirling current below. The last thing he saw was the surprised face of Firepaw, the sneer of Scratchpaw, and Scalepaw's usual laughing before his vision was engulfed by complete darkness.
