The familiar, yet still beautiful, face poked out of the bushes.  "Yes?" Tiger meowed.  "I thought you stayed in the mountains with Pine?!" Stonerise exclaimed.  "Why would I stay with Pine?" Tiger asked, her beautiful aqua eyes glimmering in the sunlight.  "B-because I-I heard Pine say h-he loved you.  Y-you said something back and n-nuzzled him," Stonerise stammered, remembering that awful moment.  "Oh...," Tiger's gaze dropped, "You were there?  I nuzzled him and told him I didn't have the same feelings for him."  Stonerise's stomach fell.  "Y-you did?" he mewed.  "Wait..is that why you ran off?!?" Tiger demanded, a certain fire in her eyes.  "I-I ran off because I was truly a Clan cat and NOBODY can change that!!!" Stonerise screamed a lie with unnecessary coldness to the she-cat.  "Well you want to know why I came back for you, Stonefoot," Tiger hissed with her eyes narrowed.  "I earned my warrior name," he puffed out his chest, "I'm Stonerise now."  "Well I came back, Stoneup, because I didn't love Pine.  I loved someone else.  The father to my kits," Tiger stepped out of the bushes and shook out her pelt to reveal an ample stomach.  "I-I'm the father," Stonerise whispered.  HIs heart was racing and he looked at Tiger in realization.  Tiger nodded.  "This is great!" Stonerise's heart swelled with so much joy.  "Here, let me take you back to the Clan!  You can live there and I'll be the daddy to the kits, and you'll be the mommy.  Oh!  And there will be this whole warrior ceremony for you to get your warrior name once you join the Clan," he rambled on in excitement.  "No, Stoneup.  I don't want that life.  My family has spoken about these...Clans.  You're never free to roam.  You have rules to follow.  I don't want that life," Tiger looked at him with pleading eyes, "Please, Stoneup.  Come with me back to the mountains."  Stonerise's heart drooped.  He was deputy of his Clan.  He could almost become leader.  But he loved Tiger and their unborn kits.  Who could he choose?
