The October break was ending, and Jobe was coming back from Madrid where he hung out with his brother Jude. Imani really missed him, even though they kept texting.
Imani scrolled through their messages, looking at pictures of Jobe's adventures in Spain. But texting wasn't the same as being together. Today was the day Jobe was coming home, and Imani was excited. Tomorrow was back-to-school, and she couldn't wait to share stories with Jobe.
As the sun set, Imani's excitement rose due to Jobe's return. The last days of October promised more laughter and fun, making the idea of school tomorrow a little brighter for her.
