♫HUSH - Kay'vion♫
(Unlocked flowers in this chapter)
(Gladiolus = generosity, loyalty, and honor)I feel the uncertainty of my trust in the king, what if he's forcing them to be quiet? Are we going to get hurt? I huff, concentrating on the dark and steadying my heartbeat. I take a small step forward, nothing. I finally acknowledge that i'll actually have to walk through the entire ballroom and hopefully find one of the boys. I cross my arms, rolling my eyes even though no one can see it. I huff once more, this time in pure annoyance before I put my arms down and begin slowly walking. I focus on my feet, moving everywhere they tell me to. I walk straight for a moment before I get a strong urge, turn. I turn to the right and continue walking, scraping my leg on something sharp. I furrow my eyebrows but keep walking, ignoring the pain in my leg. I keep walking until the urge fills my head again, turn. I stop in my tracks, unsure of which way to turn. Left. I shrug, turning left and beginning to walk once more. As I keep walking I feel a presence slowly coming closer, I pause taking smaller steps. Suddenly I gently smack into someone and I hear a chuckle, making me smile softly. Without saying anything I see the lights turn back on and the boy gently unties the silk ribbon wrapped around my head. I slowly open my eyes and see Hyunjin smiling at me softly before taking my hand back in his. "Ah, the Red Gardenia. Good choice." The king states, making me dig deep in my brain. What was the meaning? The meaning flashes through my head. Secrecy? My eyebrows furrow and I look at him, thinking. Does he have a secret? "Come on now, lets have a healthy breakfast." I look back at the king as he smiles at us, gesturing to the table. Hyunjin tightens his hold on my hand as we begin to walk to the king. As we walk Hyunjin subtly leans into me. "Is your leg ok?" My eyes turn down to my leg, seeing the slow stream of blood flowing out of a big cut. "Something wrong?" I look up to see the king gazing at me with a creepy smile. I shake my head, holding eye contact with him. "Nothing." He nods with the same creepy look before gesturing to the table. "Then sit" I roll my eyes at his tone and sit down with Hyunjin next to me. The king chuckles and speaks once more. "Your food will be coming out soon. Enjoy before you train." He smiles and walks to a door, opening it and disappearing into a hallway. Soon after the food arrives and we talk as we eat. I sit there quietly, slowly loosing my appetite. I hear a small shuffle and look up to see Changbin putting food on my plate. "Are you ok?" Suddenly my leg begins to sting as if it's on fire. I frantically look down to see a word etched gorily into the skin of my leg, right under where I cut it. "Gladiolus." I whisper. "What? You're worrying me." Changbin speaks once more, expression deepening with every second. I look up at him, slowly breaking out of my thoughts. I knew that cut felt weirder than usual. "Theres something seriously off about this place." I speak suddenly, gaining the boys' attention. "Well yeah but what do you mean?" Han asks quietly from across the table. "When I cut myself trying to find you guys it felt different, weird even." Im met with different expressions of confusion and intrigue. "Just now it stung like it was on fire, I looked down and saw the name of a flower scratched into my skin." Their confused looks turn shocked as they try to see what is on my leg. "You better eat faster, dinner's almost over!" The kings voice echoes through the ballroom with a sickly playful tone. I look down at my food and sigh, picking up a fork. This is probably all were getting anyway. I finish my plate and look around at everyone, their plates empty and their mouths moving as they talk to each other. "Are you ready to train?" The kings voice echoes once more through the dining room and the table starts to shake. The boys shoot up out of their seats and I attempt to follow, standing up but being pulled down by a chain around my ankle. Shit. "Theres a chain! I cant move!" I use all my strength to try and break it apart but it doesn't work. The boys run to me and try breaking it with their hands but it doesn't work. The shaking worsens and I look around the room, seeing the pillars in the room begin to crack. I look back to the boys and start to panic, trying to find a safe way out for them. I look into the next room and see it completely unscathed, i nod to myself speaking firmly to the boys. "You have to get out of here! Go into the next room its untouched!" The boys look up at me and Changbin speaks. "Were not going to leave you! Are you crazy!" His raises his voice but I stay persistent. The cracks get bigger and more audible, sending worse panic through my veins. "Ive been through worse! Just go!" Changbin shakes his head as the others try to convince him. "Shell be alright, and well come back to get her. Shes a better at the whole mafia stuff than us." Han states, looking at me with a reassuring wink. Changbin huffs but nods hesitantly. "Fine, but we'll be back for you!" He speaks as I nod frantically. "Ok! Now go!" They run out of the room into the next one and the table legs begin to collapse one after the other, crushing my leg and brining me to the floor. "Shit!" Pebbles from the pillars begin to fall and hit the floor as my panic worsens. Breathe, you can do this, panic only brings worse situations. I calm myself down and wiggle my leg, trying to feel around for anything. I wince in pain as I feel something stab into my leg but realize I am no longer chained into the floor. I put both hands on the table, struggling to lift it off my lower body. I lift it just enough for me to crawl out from underneath, I slowly wiggle out and drop the table. I look around and see one of the pillars begin to fall, I set my eyes on the door and begin to run. Wincing harshly as tears of pain roll down my face. I run faster, trying my hardest to ignore the pain in my leg. The pillars begin to fall until only one is left. The one in front of the door. I reach the door and open it as the last pillar falls, narrowly escaping my death. I stumble into the room filled with the members and fall to the floor. "Nyx!" The boys scream my name but all I can focus on is the throbbing in my leg. I look down to see the hand cuff submerged in my leg and my foot unable to move. "Shit, I think I broke something." I speak breathlessly as I try to calm myself down. They stand around me with open mouths and concerned faces. Unsure of what to do. Leeknow runs up to me and sits next to me, gently taking my leg in his lap. "This is going to hurt like hell."
