♫Dead Man Runnin' - SEULGI♫
Flower from this chapter -
Red Aster (undying devotion)

"You feeling any better love?" Felix's deep and warm voice sounds throughout my head, I hum in response. "Do you have a plan for today?" He asks and I stare off into the distance. Minho said to be careful, but we really need to go. Without thinking I look up and meet Felix face to face. All the words dissolve from the tip of my tongue and I'm left staring at him. He chuckles softly and he leans in, pecking my lips. "I'm here at your every command my love." He stares lovingly at me before the moment is interrupted by the king. "How cute of you my Rose but it's time for you to take your Red Aster and the rest of the flowers to breakfast." Red Aster? "We should get ready love." I nod, moving to the edge of the bed and sliding off. Felix takes my waist in his arms and supports me, helping me over to the closet. He looks at me for an outfit decision and I chuckle, looking at him. "Just pick anything functional, we still have no clue what we're doing." He chuckles and nods, humming before picking out an outfit and leaving me to change into it. I change and walk out into the living room to see everyone doing their own things and getting ready. "Ji." Jeongin calls my name, making me look at him. "What's up Yang?" He smiles, shaking his head before speaking. "How's the leg?" I smile back, testing it out by applying various amounts of pressure. "I'd say it's pretty good, I just can't sprint." He hums, nodding as he moves from the side of the couch to me. "That was really scary." The confusion slides in and out of my brain as I realize what he meant. "I don't think anyone really expected those pillars to break." He follows up his previous statement and I hum. "I know, that was a really close call." I sigh but shake the thoughts away. "I wonder what's going to happen today?" Felix steps in and I shrug, looking to Jeongin. "Everyone to the dining room!" The king yells and I roll my eyes. "Down we go I guess." Chan speaks, attempting to add humor to the situation. We start to walk towards the kitchen and I look down at my limping leg, this is going to be really problematic. "Here." Han whispers in my ear, sending unintentional shivers down my spine as he wraps an arm around the side of my waist to stabilize my walk. This is not the time nor the place to be feeling, Nyx. "Thanks." He nods and I fix my stare ahead. I slowly start to feel someone's gaze on me and see Han out of my peripheral vision, looking at me with an indistinguishable emotion. "There you are my flowers!" Disgust courses through my veins as I listen to the old king talk. "This game will be pretty fun! Basically our Rose will be sitting in the throne and if you don't get to her fast enough- you'll see." I roll my eyes and gently remove Han's steady hold on me. The king walks to me and puts a harsh hand on my arm "Sorry Rose." He mouths before throwing me to the floor. I groan in pain and attempt to get on my hands and knees, groaning once more as my face meets the floor at the mercy of a harsh weight put on my back. I try to look and see the kings foot. "Just stay still." I stop fighting back, the fatigue catching up to me. "Much better." He throws me again, making me face him. He reaches for my arms, cuffing them and harshly lifting me from the metal hand cuffs. "Can't be any more gentle, can you?" I retort and he chuckles. "Just you see, My Rose." He harshly pulls me with him to a red throne and pushes me onto it, securing my cuffs into locks on the throne. I pull them but to no avail, I look up and see the boys each in a small glass room while chained to one of the walls. "Now," the king speaks. "This is a game for your life, My Rose." I roll my eyes, again really? How original. "They have to do everything in their power to get to you in under 60 seconds, maybe even fighting each other. Who ever gets to you last will be punished." He speaks happily and walks away, leaving us all worried and scared. I look at all of them and mouth, "Fighting." They nod and the king speaks once more. "Let the games begin." I close my eyes in an attempt to steady my heartbeat, focusing on the quiet before I'm quickly broken out of my trance. I look up and see Changbin who punched a hole through the glass wall. My eyes widen at the sight of blood trickling down his arm as the other one is stilled chained to the wall, he smiles at me and begins looking around the room to find anything to unlock him. I look around and see Hyunjin find two keys, he tries the first one on the lock chained to his ankle and it doesn't work. Come on Hyunjin. He tries the second one and the lock pops open, leaving Hyunjin with full reign of his body. I look and see Chan solving a puzzle, it seems as though he's been free for a little bit. I turn and see Felix digging through a dark box with a mixed expression on his face. I really hope nothing bad is in there. I look over and see a focused Seungmin, listening to something with headphones before he says something out loud and his lock pops open. Smart. He looks at me and smiles reassuringly before mouthing something to me. "We're going to get you out, I promise."
