Chapter 15 - A Song for Aroha

Moon Ga Young's POV:

"You've got the keys to the studio right?" I asked Sanha in a low voice.

"Yeah, right here." He said, holding them up so me and Eun Woo could see them.

"Great! Let's go in!" I said.

Taking a step forward, Sanha unlocked the door and Eun Woo and I followed him inside.

Inside, there was a bunch of music equipment, a recording booth, and a computer with a spinning chair.

"Woah, so this is where you guys record all your comebacks?" I asked in amazement.

"Yup!"  Chorused Sanha and Eun Woo with a beam.

Sanha sat down in the spinning chair relaxed. "So... remind me why we're here again?" He said.

"Well, if the company releases a statement denying the rumors people will still believe it's true and think they're trying to cover it up right?" I said, trying to get my point across.

The two boys nodded.

"So I thought why don't we try to create a song to hint to everyone's things-"

"-are not what they seem?" finished Eun Woo.

I nodded with a smile.

"Yes," I replied, pleased to see Eun Woo had caught onto what I was thinking.

"And there will be no mv, teaser poster, or promotions so the fans will figure out we're trying to tell them something... Moon Ga Young, you're a genius!" Sanha exclaimed.

"Shh!" I said in a panic. "What if someone hears you?"

"Don't worry, these walls are sound proof and the doors are locked." Eun Woo reassured me with a beam.

"Oh okay... phew!" I sighed with relief.

Soon, the boys got to work; coming up with the melody, producing the instrumental, writing verses and the chorus, and singing in the recording booth. I watched in awe as they did their parts.

It was clear that creating music was something they both enjoyed. I could see the enjoyment in their eyes throughout the whole process of creating the song. 

"Noona, we're going to add a few finishing touches to the song. Do you mind stepping out for a few minutes while we finish up?" asked Eun Woo with his eyes shining.

I nodded with a beam. "Of course," I replied warmly before walking out of the studio.

Eun Woo's POV:

As soon as Moon Ga Young left the studio, Sanha turned to me with a huge grin on his face.

"Your girlfriend is so cool, Hyung!" He told me, his eyes shining.

I couldn't help but smile proudly at the compliment. "I know right, it's one of the reasons why I love her so much," I replied.

"Aww! Look at you, you've become so moonstruck!" Sanha teased, ruffling my hair.

I punched him playfully in the shoulder. "Hey! Cut that out, anyways let's finish this song." I told him sternly.

Sanha pouted. "Fine!" He responded sulkily.

In silence, we continued where we left off. Recording more vocals, adding more beats, etc. 

A few hours later, we were finally finished. 

"Let's call Noona," I told Sanha, my eyes shining.

"Alright, let's call your girlfriend since you miss her so much.." Sanha said teasingly.

I nudged him and laughed. "I told you to cut that out!" I told him.

I then took out my phone and called her, listening to the phone ring as I waited patiently for her call. 

Seeing me wait patiently for her to pick up, Sanha laughed again.

"Look at you! You're like a puppy waiting for his master, Hyung!" He exclaimed in amusement.

"Shush! I don't want Moon Ga Young to hear! Please don't say anything embarrassing." I pleaded. 

Suddenly, I heard a giggle.

I looked at the phone and flushed.

Moon Ga Young had picked up and was laughing in amusement at me and Sanha's conversation. 

"Noona.... how long have you been listening?" I asked, my cheeks reddened with embarrassment. 

"Oh, not long.... my little puppy." She teased.

Before I knew it, Sanha and Moon Ga Young were howling with laughter as I sat there with my head in my hands with embarrassment. 

"Cut it out, the two of you... please?" I pleaded once again.

"Alright, alright we'll stop now." Moon Ga Young replied.

"The song is just about finished, you can come back to the studio," I told her.

"Alright, see you, Sanha and Eun Woo!" said Noona before hanging up.

I turned to Sanha. "Look what you did! She heard everything!" I groaned.

Sanha tittered. "She really called you her little puppy..." 

I nudged him again. "Seriously, cut it out... or I'm not coming to eat Hot Pot with you next time," I told him sternly.

Sanha pouted. "Alright... I'll stop. Sorry Hyung."

Satisfied with that reply, I patted him on the head.

Just then, the door opened and Moon Ga Young stepped in and locked the door.

"So, let's hear it!" She said excitedly, as she took a seat.

I smiled and pressed play on the song.

A soft melody on a piano began to play and then Sanha and I began to sing about a misunderstanding, questioning whether anyone we loved would ever trust them again, that things are not as they seem.

Moon Ga Young listened carefully engrossed in the song. We sat in silence, anticipating her reaction.

As soon as the song ended, Moon Ga Young turned and smiled.

"Wow... it's perfect." She said to the both of us.

Her eyes then snagged onto mine. "You did amazing," She told me.

I could feel my face flush and my mouth creases into a smile.
