Izuku's planet log 116: harvest... was beautiful and bountiful as a farming world... until the covenant turned it to molten slag and glass... damn bastards.

As morning broke over reach a UNSC convoy of 30 warthogs, 4 scorpions, numerous falcons, 2 pelicans and even a pair of marines on a mongoose. Izuku was sitting in thw passenger seat of a warthog when he looked over at the mongoose "fucking madlads...". Dot spoke over the comms "it appears noble team's discovery last night was not an anomaly. Large covenant deployments have occurred undetected and we are now under attack across the viery territory including orbital defences. As per the winter contingency we are counting on every front. Noble's reconnaissance has also revealed sophisticated covenant army hiding canopies and havr pinpointed what's believed to be a landing zone for additional covenant forces the origin of which have yet to be determined."

Izuku was thinking about this information and looked up to the sky in thought 'if they can cloak elites why could they not cloak their ships...' izuku looked back down to the battle that was about to occur. Carter then announced "that landing zone has been tagged by UNSC command as a priority one target" jun then stated "det charge link is loud and clear!" Kat took out the detonator "copy that. acquiring signal lock on the pylon. Detonating in 3... 2..." kat then blew the det charge and destroyed the pylon as banshees strafed the strike force and wraiths fired their mortar rounds and destroy a few warthogs. The gunners on the remaining warthogs returned fire.

Kat was able to dodge any fire and the strike team moved to cross a bridge when izuku noticed a plasma mortar round heading towards the bridge "incoming!" Kat simply nods "you might want to hold onto something." Izuku held onto the frame of the warthog as kat accelerated. Izuku looked back at the trooper on the gun and sees the look of fear "jump" the trooper does so and is able to get out of the warthog before kat hits the bridge and kat and izuku are sent flying across the gap.

Izuku comes to hearing kinetic and plasma fire all around and sees an M319 grenade launcher to his side so he grabs it. Izuku looks at the bridge behind him and sees another warthog with a ballsy trooper driving it attempt to jump the gap but fails and condems him and the two troopers with him to fall to their deaths. Kat sees izuku awake and calls out to him "six! Can you hear me? Six, You alright? I could use some help here!" Izuku gets up and fires a grenade at an approaching squad of grunts thus killing them "on it!" Izuku fires a few more grenades from the M319 and takes out the shade turrets that were pinning them down.

Izuku in the corner of his eye sees kat use armour lock as the wreck of their warthog exploded. Now taking out his DMR he pops a few more grunts heads before moving up towards his objective. Carter spoke over the radio " Kat, six what's your status?" Izuku looks out over the Plateau to see multiple warthogs and ghosts engaging each other while kat responded to carter "plylons are down, we're pushing up the hill." Izuku spoke up now "encountering resistance and i think i hear covenant AA" izuku pushes up further and takes out the M319 to take out two fuel rod shade turrets as a pelican flies in with a rocket warthog and drops it off before heading off for another mission.

Izuku jumps in before kat could aay anything and carter confirms Izuku's suspicions of covenant AA guns. Getting on the missle pod izuku tells kat to drive and they drove a short distance and they see the First AA gun and saw a falcon attempt to take down a few covenant infanty in their path but was shot down by the AA gun. Carter spoke out after the falcon was down "six, AA gun should be in visual range" a falcon pilot reinforced the urgency of the situation "2 lima 4 to noble one, those guns are punding us with high-velocity plasma shells!" Dot then made a summery of the case "which would also mean that the frigate Grafton is also out of the question" carter was about to give an order when izuku cut him off "destroy the gun? Already on it."
