Izuku's reach logs 5: got this AI halsey made. She wants it delivered to a crusier, the pillar of autumn... heard the master chief was around that area... you should've been here jorge... to see your brother in arms once more...

August 30, 2552

Inside the pelican was chaos, izuku and emile were both firing what they had at the banshees and phantom chasing them and not much worked other then emile's grenade launcher.

Dot: "Noble Leader, please respond."

Izuku looked towards the cockpit and went to carter who was critically injured but still flying.

Dot: "Please respond, Sierra Two-Five-Nine. You are alarming me."

Carter: turning slightly to izuku he spoke "Not sure how long she's gonna stay together. Skies are jammed up anyways. Gotta get you off here, Lieutenant."

Izuku: "sir?"

Carter: "Don't wanna hear it. Get the Package to the autumn."

Izuku: "done"

Carter: "Not yet, it's not... Emile, go with Izuku. It's a ground game now."

Izuku turned his head slightly to see Emile fire his grenade launcher at a banshee which went down taking another one with it then Emile dropped the grenade launcher as he was out of ammo.

Emile: who had turned to carter "It's been an honor, sir."

Carter: "Likewise... I'll do what I can to draw their fire."

Izuku turned to leave before carter spoke up again

Cater: "Izuku. That AI chose you... she made the right choice"

Izuku: "it's been an honour commander..."

Izuku headed to the ramp with Emile as carter turned the pelican to break sight with the perusing enemies. Izuku took the AI off his waist and held it tightly in his hands.

Carter: "on my mark..." he held his hand up and counted down from three with his fingers "... mark!"

Both izuku and Emile jumped and slid down a cliff face before rolling a bit which broke both their shields. Izuku checked the AI data storage device for damage before putting it back on his waist while Emile secures the area.

The two continue on through a narrow creek until they came across a cliff as carter's pelican flew over head with one of it's wings on fire. Emile pointed at a halcyon class light crusier in the distance.

Emile: "There's our destination, izuku. Pillar of autumn. Race you to her."

Emile looked at Izuku before moving to head down the path before looking back at Izuku who had just jumped off the clif and landed on a distracted elite before crushing it's head with his foot and shooting the grunts with his magnum, all headshots.

Izuku: "come on Emile. Don't have time to waste."

Saying This Izuku got onto a mongoose and Emile ran and got on the back as Izuku accelerated to make progress quickly. Unfortunately covenant orbital insertion pods dropped and covenant forces swarmed out of them, to make it worse a few scarabs were deployed too.

Emile: "scarab! Gun it Izuku!"

Izuku did just the but decides to be a bit cheeky and drift right through a grunt killing it. Continuing onthe two came across a broken bridge and Izuku jumped the gap with the mongoose before Emile said anything.

Emile: "beat me to it Izuku"

Izuku nodded before seeing a wraith and running up to it and began to punch it until the wraith exploded killing it's occupants. Izuku then went around head shotting the remaining enemies with his magnum as he didn't want to use the sniper rifle he had. After the covenant forces were mopped up the two headed Through the cave to the north east.

Carter (com): "Noble! You got a... situation"

A scarab appeared blocking the exit of the cave.

Emile: "Mother... We can get past it, sir!"

Carter (com): "No, you can't. Not without help."

Izuku: "carter you don't have the firepower!"

Carter's pelican did a strafe of the scarab distracting it for a couple seconds before it turned back to Izuku and Emile as carter turned back towards it.

Carter (com): "I've got the mass."

Both Izuku and Emile realised what carter was about to do.

Emile: "Solid copy. Hit 'em hard, boss."

Carter: "you're on your own Noble... cater out."

Carter then rammed his pelican into the side of the scarab, killing it and him.

Izuku: "... may you find peace commander..."

Both Emile and Izuku continue on in silence. They encountered a group of drones but they just ripped and tore their way through them, so much so that the doom slayer would be proud, soon enough the two reached a cliff overlooking the aszód ship breaking yards.

Izuku: "shame these ships were old... could have helped the defence if they weren't."

Emile was talking with captian keys over comms and Izuku pushed forwards to help some marines who were being pinned down. Emile rejoined him and they pushed onwards through the facility killing everything covenant in their paths. Once they reached the pad and subsequently the pillar of autumn, Emile got back into contact with keyes while Izuku swapped out his magnum for a DMR.

Emile: "Will do, sir. All right, Izuku... This is it. I'll man the big gun. You just get to the platform and deliver that Package."

Izuku nodded and moved to clear the landing pad of enemies while Emile was mostly effectively taking out enemy dropships with the mass driver. For 10 minutes they held off wave after wave of covenant with the surviving marines. After keyes arrived Izuku went to him and handed off the AI.

Keyes: "Good to see you, Spartan. Catherine assured me I could count on you."

Izuku: "not just me."

Keyes: "carter and jorge will be remembered."

Keyes turned and went to get back onto the pelican however he saw a covenant battlecrusier and called it in to Emile however Izuku had a bad feeling and told keyes to get back to get back to the autumn as he rushed off to guard Emile. As Izuku arrived two zealots dropped onto the mass driver and Izuku took one out instantly with his sniper rifle and Emile delt with the other.

Emile: "thanks for the assist Izuku"

Izuku: "no problem Emile... noble team sticks together."

Emile nodded as he focussed on taking out covenant drop ships while waiting for an opportunity to down the crusier while Izuku watched his back. After a bit the crusier starts charging up it's glassing beam and it's shields drop to allow This and Emile takes this chance to fire the mass driver at the weapon which disables the ship and sends it plummeting to the ground as the the pillar of autumn begins to take off.

Keyes: "This is the pillar of autumn. We're away. And the Package is with us."

Emile steps down from the mass driver and nods to Izuku.

Emile: "one last stand?"

Izuku was about to nod when his comms flare up

??? (Com): "that will not be nessasery Spartans."

Izuku: "halsey, ma'am?"

Helsey (com): "Izuku, Emile head to the following coordinates for the final way to get off reach."

Izuku and Emile HUDS got a waypoint and they both began walking in that direction.
