(Remember: Solar's POV the whole story, and Human AU. TW: Fluff/implied smut <not the actual deed, just mentions of doing it> , but, panic attacks, trauma <bc what's SaMS without trauma?>, a bit of angst, and a very fruity author)

I was cleaning the daycare. I didn't have a say in the matter, not to mind you - Sun ran at me while I was walking out of the theater, grabbed my arm, and dragged me kicking and screaming to the daycare. His blond hair was already tied into a messy bun, and he was wearing cleaning gloves and an apron made for painting with the kids.

Even now, he was humming to himself while wiping down the arts and crafts table. He always managed to have paint on his face and stained on his fingers, a sharp contrast to his light chocolate skin that already had its pale vitiligo splashed over his body.

He was oblivious to my grumbling as I scrub part of a play structure that had been attacked by a toddler with glitter glue, struggling as my ginger hair kept falling into my eyes. It wasn't long enough to put in a bun or ponytail like Sun did. Well, at least this gave me something to do with my time.

I heard a rustle behind me and turned to see Moon struggling to escape the ballpit. He always wore a nightcap over his midnight hair like some kind of cartoon dad. He was dressed in a simple MCR shirt and blue jeans. Much like his brother, he had vitiligo - just pale skin with light chocolate stains, the opposite of Sun.

He scrambled out of the ballpit like he was swimming away from a shark just then. Once he noticed Sun and I staring at him, he cleared his throat and smoothed out his clothes. "I'm gonna go hang with Monty for a bit. Be back in a few hours."

I wanted to make a dark joke - "I know how much you wanna hang" - but I stay quiet while Sun replies for me. "Uh, Monty of all people? Be at least a little quick please."

"I won't," Moon replied with a grin. He came over to me and gave me a slap on the chest.

"Wha- hey!" I slap him right back, making him laugh and not being able to hide my own smile. He waved at us before walking out of the daycare.

Sun turns to me with a groan. "I swear, one of these days Moon will be the death of me."

"Oh, one hundred percent he will," I reply with a sigh, getting back to cleaning the play structure.

I heard him say more, but I couldn't listen. All I could notice was my heart beating faster for some reason, the spot where Moon slapped my chest hotter than the rest of my body.
