What a Beautiful End

Sooooooooo this is of course the last chapter, as you can tell. A few people suggested the idea of making the last chapter(s) in Moon's POV, so that is what I shall do! Everything is now from Moon's perspective.

If I'm being honest, I don't fully remember our first night together.

I was drunk, stumbling after a hang-out with Monty. I wasn't thinking straight (in a few different ways). I don't know why I went after Solar like that. I had thought I was aro/ace for a long time. Then suddenly, all I wanted was him. Solar.

It's very ironic, if you think about it . Me, Moon Drop Celestara - brother of Sun Drop Celestara, Lunar Celestara, and Earth Celestara - dating Solar Crescentia, a different dimensional version of my arch nemeses. Who would've thought? And yet, here I am, wrapped in his sleeping arms on the couch in my living room, feeling warm and safe.

I look up at Solar's face, careful not to jostle the arm I was lying on as I did so. His fiery hair was a tangled mess of locks. His lashes were long and not cared for, different lengths tangling over his closed eyelids. His peach lips were parted a bit, a small amount of drool collecting on the corner of his mouth. His eyebrows twitched along with the corners of his lips as if moving with him in his dream. His neck was at an odd angle, propped against the arm rest of my couch, me lying on his arm and pressed against his chest. His free hand was resting on my rear - not in a sexual way so much as a sensual way, his thumb unconsciously rubbing a circle on my waist, his higher leg between mine.

His shirt collar was pulled down a smidge, revealing a hickey I had given him a few days before as well as a chain. A piece of railing in the theatre had fallen from above, nearly impaling Solar who was trying to hot glue part of the torn carpet back down. I had taken the railing and melded it into small circles, then linked the circles into the chain. When I told him how I got it as I was giving it to him, I had chuckled and said, "Because someday I might be the death of you."

Solar had smiled fondly, making my heart race, and replied, "That would be a wonderful way to go out." He hasn't taken the necklace off since, however slightly rusted and grainy the texture.

I sigh contently and nuzzle closer to him, wrapping my free arm gently over his sleeping form. He shifts slightly but doesn't awaken. I didn't plan to wake him any time soon. He could hold me forever, and I'd be happy.

Sun had been teasing us constantly before Solar fell asleep, but once my brother noticed he had he had gone quiet, watching us with a teasing yet somewhat absent gaze. I needed to get him a date. It would be so amazing to go on a double date with my brother - Solar and I with Sun and whomever he wished to date (be it man, woman, or anything else). The jokes would never be forgotten.

Solar grunted silently and buried his face in my hair, pulling me closer.

Okay, maybe it was ironic we were together. Maybe we might not work out. Who knows, maybe he was the one that keeps bringing Eclipse back and wants all of us dead. That would sting like a bitch...

But you know what?

Right here, right now.

Solar can just be beautiful. And I can love him.

So it's fine.

I love him.

THANK YOU!!!! Thank you all so much for the support over these past few weeks. Don't worry - I plan to make another book in this universe, centered around Sun and Ruin instead. Maybe it's a weird ship, but screw haters because I'm a hopeless romantic. Anygays, you all have kept me going with this story, and I am forever grateful for each wonderful comment.

Until we meet again, may the stars guide you!
