After a few hours - yes, hours, it's now dark outside - of cleaning, I told Sun to just go to bed. He insisted he stay up, but he was barely standing at that point. Plus, he didn't like the idea of me dragging him by his hair to bed.
So I was sitting at the security desk, working on designs for new things that could be of use to us. My mind brought me back to Moon. He hadn't returned yet, and a part of me wanted to call to make sure Eclipse didn't kill him, but I figured he was fine. He's tough enough. I told myself that if he isn't back in the next hour, I'd call him.
I groan and push my chair back from the computer, burying my face in my hands. I was tired myself, but I was staying awake until Moon got back. That idiot has enough luck in him to survive a night out with Monty, I hope.
Speak of the devil, I heard a creak as the large wooden doors open next to me. With how big those things are, there should be a scream like a house falling down, but Sun oils those hinges enough to keep them quiet. Mainly so that the children don't wake up if a parent come in early. Understandable, since the kids will either scream or be up and hyper the rest of nap time, which is Sun's only time to relax. He rarely relaxes though, which is something I'm about to start forcing him to do.
I look over to the door. "Wow, you're not dead," I say, but I can't help but feel relieved that Moon's back.
I don't see him at first because of how large the doors are, but when he comes into view I immediately know something's wrong. His walk was a little strange, like his feet had fallen asleep. His hair was a little messy and his hat lopsided. When he looked over at me, I could see a bit of a flush on his face and a unfocused look in his eyes. I groan once I realize what this means.
"You're drunk, aren't you?"
He doesn't answer, just stumbles over to me and leans on the desk, staring at the blueprint I had on the screen. When he speaks his words are slurred. "What'cha doin'~?"
"Working," I reply bluntly. I'd already told him about this, a new feature for the cameras in the daycare so they could see heat just incase a little frenemy of ours decides he can go invisible.
"Aaahhhh..." He hiccups, leaning more on the desk.
"Do I need to take you to your room?" I shut off the computer and turn to him, trying to sound annoyed but I can't help but be concerned he'll fall on the way up the stairs.
"I'm- hic -fine..." He says as he stand up. For a drunk person, he stands well enough, but I still want to make sure he gets to bed instead of staying up all night.
"How about you shut up and follow me?" I grab his wrist, dragging him into the theatre and up the stairs to his room. Sun's current room used to be one of the party rooms, but after Ruin blew up the place he thought he and Moon could get rooms away from each other, at least for now. I sleep in his old room, in the hallway leading to Moon's room.
I struggle to drag him through the small hole he calls a door. Earth can't even fit through, not that she'd have any reason to. She's rather tall.
He hiccups as he stand straight. I turn to his bed. "Now, get in so you can-"
I'm interrupted by Moon's touch as he wraps his arms around my waist from behind.
