You turned to face the man who had once meant the world to you, who shattered everything you held dear without even offering you the chance to Explain. The man who had left you and unknowingly abandoned his own child. The one and only Akaashi Keiji.
Your heart clenched as you muttered his name,
"Akaashi..."
His eyes widened in shock. Akaashi, normally so composed and collected, was at a loss for words. His face, usually calm and expressionless, now betrayed an emotion you never thought you'd see from him.
Regret.
"I..."
He started to speak, but before he could say more, a small voice piped up.
"Oh! It's that guy from the park!"
Your son blurted out, causing a ripple of tension to break for a brief second. You couldn't help but chuckle at his bluntness, but the reality of the situation hit you again, and your face turned serious.
