The afternoon sunlight glinted off the sleek glass walls of the aquarium as you, Akaashi and Haru approached the entrance. Haru, as usual, was brimming with energy, his eyes wide with excitement at the thought of seeing underwater creatures. You held his hand loosely, letting him guide the way as as Akaashi trailed slightly behind, hand in his pockets.

There was something unspoken between the two of you, as always, a quiet, fragile tension that neither of you could quite navigate.

"Mom, Akaashi! Look at the giant jellyfish!"

Haru's voice rang out, pulling the two of you back into the moment. He pointed excidetly at a tank just beyond the entrance, where glowing jellyfish floated gracefully their translucent bodies lit with soft hues of blue and purple.

You smiled softly, walking close to your son, letting him tug you toward the tank. Akaashi stepped up next to you guys, arms crossed but his expression soft as he watched the boy press his face close to the glass, utterly mesmerized.

"They look like aliens"

Haru said, his voice full of wonder. Akaashi chuckled, leaning down slightly.

"They do. But did you know jellyfish can glow in the dark?"

He threw in a fact he remembered, trying to engage with Haru in the little ways he could.
