The first rescue occurred the day they opened, when someone dropped off a lamia Killer bitty. He had a red and white tail, target shaped soul, black sockets, and black tear marks. Tears found him on the doorstep. A quick check done by Pixel and Tears revealed that he was fine, just a little malnourished. "Do you have a name?" asked Tears. "No. Where am I?" The bitty asked. "You're at Multiscales, we're a rescue for lamia bitties. I'm Pixel and that's Tears." Said Pixel. They set him up in a area. He was given the name Target for his target shaped soul. He was adopted by Moonfall.
It had been decided that Sunrise, Moonfall, Code, Teal, Brush, and Pixel would all work at Multiscales. Teal and Sunrise would help with people dropping off bitties or wanting to adopt them. Moonfall and Code would help set up a website and work with finances. Brush would help decorate the rescue. Pixel would help take care of injured bitties until they got an actual trained medic. Tears would help with everything as the technical owner. They would also all work with the bitties.
They had set up several enclosures for bitties. Some were large and would house several bitties, others were smaller and would house one or two bitties. Some cops had busted a smuggling operation and found five lamia bitties. A horror type they named Terror, a BlueBerror named Star, a shattered Dream called Shard, and a Fresh!Ink type called Candygram. Brush decided to adopt Candygram as his personal bitty almost immediately as both loved colors and Teal decided to adopted Star as her bitty.
After a couple months they had managed to rescue 25 bitties. Several being rather interesting. For example, a Lust!Error type lamia was rescued from an illegal breeding area. Reboot and Eraser type bitties had been rescued from an illegal smuggling operation. Even a Dust!Papyrus type bitty was rescued from a fighting ring. They managed to home some bitties. Some bitties would be available for adoption, others would be lifers at Multiscales unless adopted by staff. The Lust!Error called called Sleek, the Reboot, called Paste, and the Eraser called Delete would all be lifers due to various reasons. The rescue grew more and more.
