The Destroyer runs a lamia bitty rescue

A/N: NiceBreeze201 suggested Outer and Beats as volunteers and here they are!

Outer was idly looking on the multinet. He didn't have a whole lot to do between resets and it had gotten rather boring. Scrolling through vario pages and websites to find anything interesting, something caught his eye.
'Multiscales?' He thought and clicked the website. Looking through it, he saw it was a rescue for bitties.
'That could be interesting,' he thought. Opening his messenger app, he texted the link to beats with a text of 'Hey, want to go look at this together?'

Outer had met Beats in Outertale. Beats had come and enjoyed the more peaceful parts of his AU. The two eventually began talking and became decent friends. He had texted Beats since he figured the shy sans would be free. After a while, Beats texted back, saying he thought it looked interesting.

Two multiverse days later, the two portaled to the AU.
"So, this is the place, huh?" Said Outer.
"I-I th-think so?" Mumbled Beats quietly.

The two walked over to the place labeled the reception area.
"Hello!" Chirped a cheery voice. Beats flinched slightly and Outer turned.
"Uh, hi?" He said.
"My name's Teal. May I ask what you're here for?" Asked the skeleton that strongly resembled Blue.
"We saw the website and were curious." Said Outer.
"Well, maybe you would like to try volunteering?" Suggested Teal.
"I guess." Mumbled Beats.
"Alright, follow me!" Said Teal.

The two were led back where the bitties were kept in various enclosures.
"Brush, we have some people who will be volunteering for the day to see what they think!" Said Teal.
"Cool, follow me." Said Brush.

The two followed him and he showed them where they kept the stuff for cleaning and feeding.
"Okay, so, today, I'll just have you help feed them and clean a couple cages, okay?" Said Brush.
"Alright," said Outer and Beats gave a slight nod.

Outer walked over and gave some of the bitties fresh food and water as instructed. Several of the bitties gave him curious looks and asked who he was. He would introduce himself and say he was volunteering for the day. Outer found the curious little monsters interesting and enjoyed interacting with them.

Beats nervously began his work, often startling when one of the bitties began unexpectedly talking. He found them nice though. Most seemed to quiet when they noticed his flinching. They seemed nice and were mostly respecting his dislike of sudden loud noises and lots of people talking.

By the end of the day, both decided they wouldn't mind volunteering again.
