"Damn." I breathed as Nella descended the stairs, her long legs glistening in the black, off-shoulder number that held her tightly and then spread out loosely at the hips before it stopped mid-thigh. The black heels she had on drawing attention to her toned legs. Her natural hair was in a sleek bun, dainty rose gold jewelry complementing the pink toned lip gloss she had on.
"You like what you see?" she asked in a sexy voice, the flirtatious tone stirring desires within me.
I took a few steps to her, unable to continue torturing myself by watching as she made her way down. "Very much. You should have just said you don't want us to make it to the restaurant."
"Oh no." she laughed, taking one step back up the stairs. "It took me hours to get ready, Sani. We're going. Just be sure to save room for dessert. I know I will."
The flirty words, coupled with the look in her eyes as she dragged them down the casual sage green Cuban shirt and pants combo I'd paired with green and white dunks and a chunky silver chain and wristwatch, had me salivating, my blood pumping as I turned away to avoid kissing her and smudging her fresh coat of lipgloss.
"Okay, let's go before you drive me crazy." I said, shaking my head and grinning at the drastic change in her mood. Just the day before, she'd shied away from getting intimate, dread written on her face at the thought of us sleeping together. I knew the reasons, having both agreed we didn't want to be reckless and make another baby too soon, so I didn't push her. Now, though, she was making moves I wasn't really strong enough to ignore. If she kept acting like that all night, I just knew I'd give in.

Nella gasped as we entered the exact same restaurant where we met all those years ago when I was still part of the K-City Stars and had been obsessing over her for a few days.
"You really pulled out all the stops for this, didn't you?" she noted, her eyes gazing around at everything as if she just couldn't believe she was really here.
"Of course I did. I want us to treasure these moments forever." I responded as I held her hand and walked after the waiter to the outdoor garden where I'd paid to get a table set up right by the beautiful pond under the stars.
We sat across from each other, holding hands across the circular table as we stared into each other's eyes, my whole self consumed by the beautiful woman in front of me.
"So, Nella Lola.. this is where it all started." I said. "How do you feel about being here with me once again?"
"I'm overwhelmed." she said, eyes glossing over. "But in a good way, because I'm finally opening my eyes to some of the things you've been trying to say. We've come so far. Being here, I don't even know why I've been fighting you. You're the love of my life. You're still the most romantic man on the planet. You still consider me worthy of the finest treatment. You still love me. I let my anger and pain speak louder than all of that. I can't believe it—"
