The Awkward Adventures #2: The Sounds Of The Necklace

Chapter 11: New Highschool Years.

Does she remember anything? Zoë wondered. Molly was in Math, just doing her work. Zoë had class with her, Bree, Seth, Ella, Dixie, and Anabelle. They were all acting normal, except Dixie and Anabelle.
Anabelle was looking at the door. Ready for someone to come in. Ready for anyone to come in. Dixie seemed nervous and anxious. She might be like Bree and remembers it all. They were both still doing their work but they were panicked and stressed.
Seth was next to Zoë like always, talking about his family tree. Ella was next to Bree. They were both finished so they talking up a storm. Molly was next to Zoë and Dixie. Honestly not the best choice.
Seth was finished with his conversation so Zoë looked over at Molly and Dixie. Molly was talking to herself or what seemed like Dixie. Dixie finally finished her work and was just looking at Molly with fear.
Zoë mouthed 'You okay?' to Dixie. Dixie mouthed back 'She's dead'. She does know. That's.. interesting. Zoë thought.
"Am I interrupting a conversation?" Molly asked turning her head to Zoë then back at Dixie,
"No! She just asked a question and I didn't wanna interrupt so I mouthed it," Dixie awkwardly laughed,
Molly was gonna say something but the door opened, it was boy with slick black hair and wore a red hoodie. "Levi! You're finally here," their teacher cheered. The teacher stood up and walked over to Levi. Levi seemed confused but smiled.
"So sorry about the short notice but we have a new student! Levi please introduce yourself," The teacher said,
"Uhm hi I'm Levi Minos I guess, I am smart in English but not really on Math," Levi introduced himself to the class,
Some of the kids giggled while most of the kids just stared at him. Levi lightly rubbed his fingers behind his neck due to nervousness. The teacher clapped his hands walked away and left Levi alone. Levi sat in front of Zoë. Zoë looked at Levi and stared.
When lunch started, Zoë couldn't stop staring at Levi. Pepper was with her waiting to grab their lunch trays. Levi didn't grab any lunch and sat near the friend group's normal table.
After they got their lunch, Zoë sat with the friend group while Pepper went with her friend group. Ella didn't sit with them either. It was just Dixie, Molly, Bree, Cruz, Seth, Carter, and Zoë. They all acted normal (at least normal to themselves) except Dixie and Bree. Bree just stared at Levi while Dixie was trying to avoid eye contact with Levi. Zoë noticed Bree and Dixie's odd behavior but decided to ignore it for Levi.
Zoë scooted over to Levi with her tray. Levi looked over at her.
"Hey Levi, Do you remember-" Zoë was gonna ask.
" Uhm hi.. Zoë, right? " Levi guessed,
Zoë realized 'I'll try to remember sweetheart.', he knew he wouldn't remember Zoë but he wanted Zoë to be happy with her dead friend. He erased his memory to save Molly.
" Yeah and you're Levi," Zoë stated,
"Yeah.. Am I being weird? People are staring at me like I'm a freak," Levi told Zoë as he ruffled his hair,
"To me you're normal but I hang out with strange people,"
"Better than nothing, can I sit with you guys?"
"Sure, "
They both go back to Zoë's table. Dixie and Bree were talking to eachother while Seth, Carter, and Molly were hanging out. Cruz left to hang out with Pepper and her friends. Zoë sat next to Carter while Levi sat across from Zoë which made him sit next to Dixie.
" Guys, this is my friend, Levi. Remember him in Math? " Zoë told the group, everyone but Carter nodded,
" He's desperate for friends if he wants to hang out with us, " Seth joked,
Most of the table including Levi laughed. Lunch was fun with Levi. It felt like he was there forever. Zoë still wanted him to remember but he doesn't. He'll never will.
Somehow the School Gods blessed Zoë by giving her a class with Levi and Pepper. That class was English. Levi sat right next to Zoë which gave a few stares. Levi and Zoë talked after finishing their work. Levi started writing something on a small white peice of paper.
"Dang you like reading and writing?" Zoë asked,
Levi looked at Zoë and muttered, "Who told you I liked reading?"
Zoë stopped and thought for a second. I can get caught if I don't lie. I probably look like a stalker right now oh my gosh. Zoë's mind was racing.
"Uhm you just look like a type of kid who reads?" Zoë lied,
"That's rude but I'll let it slide since you're cute," Levi flirted,
"What?"
"Hm?"
Zoë blushed and looked away. A few seconds later, class ended and Levi handed her the note.
It was his number. Zoë blushed even harder.
Class after class, she only thought about him. He was like a catchy song that stuck in her mind. She loved him though, she didn't wanna tell it yet.
After school, she saw Levi go near a motorcycle. He put sunglasses on and then a black bandana. He strapped on a helmet and started to turn on the motorcycle. He sat on the motorcycle and was ready to leave. Before he zoomed off, he blew Zoë a kiss.
