Chapter 12: The Other 25 Missing

8th Summer:
"Hi, I'm Dr. Woods. How old are you Levi?" Dr. Woods said,
Levi was sitting at the kitchen table with his doctor. Levi was missing earlier in February but was found with his sister in July. His parents tried to see what happened during those times but Levi and Aria wouldn't spill a bit.
"I'm fifteen. I'll be sixteen in January," Levi answered,
"You seem a little old as a freshman?" Dr. Woods commented,
"

I got held back in kindergarten for behavioral issues. It was the dumbest thing ever, "
Dr. Woods analyzed Levi as he kicked his feet up and down. Dr. Woods brought a clipboard and voice recorder with them to keep track of this conversation.
"Do you know what happened during your kidnapping?" Woods asked, they seemed monotoned like they actually didn't care,
"Aria wouldn't like me answering that. She hates when I talk about this," Levi answered, protecting his and Aria's privacy,
" Thats why she isn't here. I promise you can tell me anything. I promise all of this is kept, " Woods lied,
"Well, uhm it was just me and Aria since Anabelle had a doctor's appointment. Aria said she saw something outside and as her older brother, I needed to protect her. So I checked outside and.. "
"And what?"
"And.. I don't remember, "
Levi awkwardly chuckled as Dr. Woods wrote on their clipboard. Dr. Woods was not getting the information they wanted.
" Uhm so during February through this month, did you have any friends or people you talked too? " Woods asked,
"So when I was missing? Well we were forced to be quiet often but I met this one kid.. Cruz I think? He was strange. He mumbled a lot, saying vampires are after him. He escaped though which made our kidnappers furious," Levi told Woods,
" Oh I can see, "
Levi had scars and a healing black eye. He looked like he lost a fight to a vsco girl. Levi would probably rather fight a vsco girl than continue this conversation.
"Yeah, the kidnappers didn't like me much. No one does," Levi said,
"Hm?" Woods replied,
"Yeah, when I was first found, people only cared about Aria. Never me,"
"I'm sorry but is there anything else you know about the other 25 missing?"
Woods stood up as they were getting ready to leave. Levi shook his head as the doctor left the room to go talk to his parents. He rolled his eyes as he walked to his room. Left alone again.

Present:
Get ready.. Get ready.. f### why is it so hard to stay on track? Levi thinks to himself. Today, October 13, is the first time he is invited to a party without having to bring his stupid sister. He is excited, especially because Zoë will be there. Heck, she was the one who invited him in the first place.
It's been obvious that Levi has had a huge crush on Zoë since August but hid it to not seem 'weak'. This time though, he's gonna ask her out. He even has a plan.
He waited to English so she can see her mostly alone. The only thing Levi is scared of is Zoë's close friend, Pepper. As Zoë got up to ask the teacher something, that was Levi's time. He slipped the note next to her school work. He starts to look busy so it doesn't blow his cover.
When she sat down, she noticed the note. She reads it slowly, word to word, her eyes starts to beam in happiness as she mumbles every word.
"'Will... you... be... mine?'" Zoë finally read and answered, "Yes!" As she hugged Levi.
His life seemed 10x better with her by his side. He actually felt like he deserved this love. They needed each other to live. When the party started, it was fun. Zoë told her friends about her boyfriend. Levi had no friends to tell so he just nodded along with Zoë.
Zoë dating Levi gave Zoë the hope that Levi will remember everything one day. One day, everything will click like a foggy light that starts working after adjusting it.
This story had a good ending. Our characters had the ending that most people think they deserved. They can finally live their lives like they wanted. Many of them have dreams that are good to them but sad part is.. they'll have to split to fill their dreams. The good thing, even if they are apart, they will love each other. They know even if a couple linger and some separate, they know they care for eachother. Even if they are alone, they still had each other.
The best part is this will leave our story to end as they will get older and fill their dreams.
