Verity's POV
I wake up to a Susan coming into my room. She is already dressed and ready.
"Wake up dolly daydream, we going to breakfast."
"Now?"
"No, I just wanted to get you up with enough time to get ready."
"Oh, okay." I get out of my ever so comfy bed and begin to get ready.
"So...." I look at her giving her a look to tell her to continue. "How was your night?"
"What do you mean how was my night? You were there."
"Let me rephrase that. How was your night with Ed?"
"Again, what do you mean?"
"You were dancing together for most of the night."
"And?"
"Did you kiss him?"
"No. We haven't gotten close like that since the other day. Is that bad?"
"Maybe he is waiting for the right moment. Peter did ruin it last time."
"I guess. Okay let's go." We head to breakfast and meet everyone in the dining hall. We eat and laugh. Now without the weight of the war off our shoulders we can relax and have fun with the time we have here. Aslan then tells us we're having a parade to announce a new King and Queen of Narnia, that being me and Caspian. Edmund crowns me and helps me mount my horse. The town seems happy with the new leadership. After the parade, Aslan asks Caspian to gather everyone in the town square and asks to speak with Peter and Susan.
"While they are doing that who wants to go on a walk?" Lucy asks.
"I'll go." "Why not." Edmund and I say at the same time. We look to each other and smile. While we walk around the grounds Edmund and Lucy tell me more stories of their time here. Lucy told me all about her suitors much to Edmunds begging not to. I also told them more stories from Hogwarts. They loved hearing about how I became an animagus. I was about to tell them why we call ourselves the marauders until Caspian found us.
"Everyone is ready."
"We'll be there." I respond, Caspian leaves.
"We ready?" I nod. "Lucy?"
"Yeah. I wonder why he wanted to gather everyone in the town square."
"Your guess is as good as mine." We walk to the town square Aslan asks us to stand with him on stage. Edmund took hold of my hand and the three of us walked up and stood next to Peter and Susan.
3rd POV
"You may begin Caspian." Aslan tells him.
"Narnia belongs to the Narnians just as it does to man. Any Telmarines who want to stay and live in peace are welcome to. And for any of you who wish, Aslan will return you to the home of our forefathers."
"It has been generations since we left Telmar." A Lord says.
"We are not referring to Telmar. Your ancestors were sea-faring brigands, pirates run aground on an island. There they found a cave, a rare chasm that brought them here from their world, the same world as our kings and queens." Aslan looks over at the Pevensies and Verity. "It is to that island I can return you. It is a good place for any who wish to make a new start." Silence.
"I'll go. I will accept the offer." Glozelle says.
"So will we." Prunaprismia says. Prunaprismia, carrying her baby, and another Telmarine Lord follow Glozelle and stand before Aslan.
"Because you have spoken first, your future in that world will be good." Aslan says. He breathes on them, and then the tree behind Caspian twists, forming a round opening. They walk through the door in the air, and vanish from sight. The people gasp.
"How do we know he is not leading us to our deaths?!"
"Sire, if my example can be of any service, I will take eleven mice though with no delay." Reepicheep offers. Peter and Susan look at each other. Aslan looks over at them. Peter steps forward.
"We'll go."
"We will?" Ed questions.
"Come on. Our time's up." Peter walks over to Caspian and offers his sword. "After all, we're not really needed here anymore." Caspian takes the sword.
"I will look after it until your return."
"I'm afraid that's just it. ... We're not coming back."
"We're not?"
"You two are." Peter looks at Aslan. "At least, I think he means you two."
"But why? Did they do something wrong?" Lucy asks Aslan
"Quite the opposite, dear one. But all things have their time. Your brother and sister have learned what they can from this world. Now it's time for them to live in their own."
"It's alright, Lu. It's not how I thought it would be, but it's alright. One day you'll see too. Come on." Peter shakes Glenstorm's hand. Edmund, Lucy, Trumpkin, and Cornelius bow. Lucy curtsies to Trumpkin and he nods. Then they embrace.
"What about Verity? Will she stay here?" Lucy asks Aslan sadly.
"Like you belong in your world, Verity belongs in hers." Susan walks up to Caspian.
"I'm glad I came back."
"I wish we had more time together."
"It would never have worked anyway."
"Why not?"
"I am 1300 years older than you." They smile at each other. Susan walks away, and then turns back. She kisses Caspian, and then they embrace.
"I'm sure when I'm older I'll understand."
"I am older and don't think I want to understand."
"The Pevensies may go first." Susan walks away and joins the group. The siblings start walking towards the opening.
"Wait!"
