Chapter 1

3 ½ years from then (halfway through 4thyear)

I am running down the hallway making my way to the Great Hall for breakfast. After all night of thinking I finally got a pretty good idea.

"Guys I've got it."

"YOU GOT ONE?" James asks.

"What do you got?" Peter asks.

"An idea to get back at the stupid Ravenclaws."

"Why are you two targeting the squares?" Sirius asks.

"The Slytherin wannabe in Ravenclaw called Lily a mudblood yesterday."

"You mean Davis?"

"Yes, now let me tell you my idea."

"Let's hear it."

"What if we charm all the books to chase around the Ravenclaws chanting 'nerd, loser, etc."

"Seems do-able. Let's do it. Sirius you in?"

"Hell yes. Peter what about you?"

"Obviously. Remus?"

"Why must I be roped in?"

"Because you and Verity are the only ones who can properly charm things and we don't feel like learning how to."

"Fair enough."

The rest of the day was pretty boring up until lunch. We decided to strike during lunch because that's when most of the Ravenclaws are in the library. Remus and I are the first to get there and we are now waiting for the rest of the guys. We finally see them running to us.

"What took you guys so long?"

"Well, we were on our way here but then we took a wrong turn."

"Then we saw big nose Snivellus so naturally we had to do something."

"Guys seriously? Maybe if you stop torturing him Lily will go out with you. But if you continue on this way Snape will be evil and you will think 'what made him become like this' and I will remind you of this moment."

"Well, we will cross that bridge when we get to it."

"I'll have you know me and Evans will go out, then we'll get married then-"

"Not now. We have a prank to execute." Remus and I perform the charm and we all hide behind a wall and hide. All the sudden the books all fly up and chase the Ravenclaws yelling at them. Most of them run out of the library with the books chasing them. I have never seen Madam Pince so upset. We are all standing there dying of laughter until Peter yells.

"RUN!" We all start running.

"Okay who's turn was it to be lookout?" Sirius asks while running

"Yours!" Everyone yells.

"What no!"

"We can discuss that later but right now let's get out of this." We turn a corner, and we all fall out of breath.

"You'd think that at this point we would all be in better shape." Peter says

"Maybe we should work out. Mister Wolf I'm shocked you're not faster than us." I say.

"Maybe I would be but if that were so I would also be eating you all alive."

"Fair point. Okay now we should probably-"

"THERES MCGONAGALL RUN!" Sirius yells. We all begin running again. "WAS THAT BETTER?!"

"YES!" We all yell.

"OKAY WE ARE COMING TO AN INTERSECTION WE ALL GOTTA SPLIT!"

"RIGHT!" We all ran our separate ways trying to outrun McGonagall. I look behind me and see her hot on my trail I turn my head to see where I'm going but it's dark. I stop and take in my surroundings. I turn back around but I no longer see Hogwarts.

"Toto, I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore." *If you don't get this for shame*

I hear a horn go off I try to follow it. I then hear distant yelling. I can't make out what they are saying but I try to speak to them.

"Hello? Can someone tell me where I am?"

I see someone make their way to me holding a crossbow.

"Who are you?"

"My name is Verity. I'm sorry but can you tell me where I am?"

He shoots an arrow at me and misses me by a mile.

"Sir if you're trying to hurt me you need to at least aim better."

I tried to reach for my wand but next I knew I was tackled to the ground. I struggled to get out but can't.

"Take her to Miraz." I hear someone yell.

They bring me to my feet. I try to fight the man off, but unfortunately he is too strong for me. They take me to this castle. It's all right but Hogwarts looks way better and much more welcoming. They bring me in to who I assume is Miraz.

"Did you find him?" He asks.

"No sir but we found this girl wandering the woods. Asked us where she was. We assume she helped Caspian escape and trying to make a fool out of us."

They shove me forward in front of a Miraz. He has a cold stare and a weird beard if I say so myself.

"Leave us."

All of the men leave. For the second time I try to reach for my wand, but he slaps me so hard I fall to the ground.

"Where is Caspian?"

"I don't know what that is." I say trembling from the pain.

I try to get up, but he pushes me back down before I'm able to stand. He gets close to my face and sneers.

"Do not lie to me girl. Not only do I know that you helped Caspian escape, but I also know you stole Susan's horn."

"Well tell Susan I'm sorry she lost her horn, but I didn't take it."

He lifts me up and pins me against the wall grabbing both my wrists with one hand as he takes out a dagger. He waves it close to my face.

"Don't play dumb with me. What can you tell me of Susan's horn and why did you take it?" He yells in my face.

"I didn't take anything!" I cry.

He makes a vertical cut on my arm and pushes me back on the floor.

"Glozelle. Take this girl to the dungeons until she is ready to talk."

Glozelle picks me up off the ground and basically carries to the dungeon. He throws me in and locks the cell door. I lay there for a minute until I remember I'm bleeding out my arm. I rip off a piece of fabric from my robe to wrap around my arm. After I finally tighten the last knot, I stand up to figure out a way out. There's a window with a bar loose, if I change into my fox form, I'll be able to escape. I look around to make sure no one is around and change into a fox. I walk as far as I can away from that castle and because of the cut on my arm I have a limp. It's still dark so I hide away in case of hunters and fall asleep.
