Chapter 13

We walk back to Telmarine castle. As soon as Aslan left to lead us back Edmund checked on me to make sure I was alright. Edmund also asked what prophesy Aslan was talking about. I told him what Glenstorm told me. 'When a daughter of Eve with power, that would make even the White Witch cower, travels to our world the kingdoms will be merged.'

"That doesn't exactly rhyme."

"That's what I said."

"It's okay ours didn't exactly rhyme either."

"What was it?"

"Essentially, 'When Adam's flesh and Adam's bone, sits at Cair Paravel in throne, the evil time will be over and done'."

"What is with the non-rhyming?"

"Susan said that."

"Did you ever miss home last time?"

"Not really. I mean here I was King. Back home I was living with a professor and his scary housekeeper."

"What about this trip, do you miss home?"

"A little but I think I'd miss a lot more things here."

"Yeah? Like what?"

"Leading armies, making decisions that actually matter... you."

"Me?"

"Yeah, I've never met anyone like you." I stop and turn to face him.

"I'm not actually going anywhere. At least not right now."

"But when we go back to our world you will leave and go back to yours."

"Hey, you'll be going back to yours too so that's not entirely my fault. Besides, that doesn't mean we can't see each other."

"Then when can I see you again?"

"You're from Finchley, right?"

"Yeah, what about it?"

"Then don't worry, you'll see me in the summer."

"How do you know?"

"Just trust me." Edmund runs into a faun in front of him. We stop and look away from each other and see everyone has stopped.

"We have arrived." Aslan states. "Caspian would you please show the Pevensies where they will be staying."

"Of course."

"But Aslan what about Verity?" Lucy asks.

"I believe she wants to ask me some questions, correct?" Aslan asks turning to me.

"Oh, yeah I do, how could I not?" Everyone leaves, Edmund being the last one to leave he gives me a nod and leaves.

"What is wrong my child?"

"I think I'm just trying to figure out why I'm here I guess."

"You are here to merge to kingdoms into one."

"Did I do that?"

"Essentially. You ended the battle by summoning the River God."

"About that, I don't even know how I did that."

"You doubt your own power?"

"No. Wait yes. I don't know, maybe? I don't think it's doubt I think it's more of I don't understand it. Probably not even that. Maybe it's an I thought I knew what I could be capable of but now I just summoned my school's headmaster with water when all I meant to do was hit the Telmarines with water."
