Chapter 14 : Grave

I realized how it was such a stupid decision to come here early. The atmosphere is too suffocating. I couldn't seem to find air in my surroundings.

"Hey, Are you okay?" Kael whispered beside me.

I clenched my jaw before nodding. I was making a fool to myself by allowing my wicked sister do what she wants. She let Kael sit beside me, which my parents and the Riego agreed.

How could they look so happy with just the two of us sit right next to each other? Masyado na ata nilang kinareer ang pagiging delulu.

"It's been awhile, Claudia. I heard you're doing well with your course? Business Administration right?"

Kael's mom seems so fond of her, bakit hindi nalang si Claudia ang ipinakasal kay Kael, tutal mukha naman s'yang tite.

I felt my eyeball rolls three-hundred and sixty degree mentally. Nakailang minuto pa nga lang ako rito sa hapag pero gusto ko na ulit lumayas.

"You see tita, Craine is not really fan of golf games. Anyways, no need to worry since makapal naman ang mukha n'ya, she will learn that."

I don't see a bit of connection with the words she uttered. I saw a hint of desperation in her voice when she lead the conversation even more deeper. God, she's so out of context!

Kahit gaano kalawak ang mundong ito ay hindi ko talaga makapa at mahanap ang pakealam ko sa pinagsasabi n'ya.

"Anyway, about the wedding. What do you guys prefer?"

Napahinto ako dahil sa sinabi ni Mama. I bit my lips harshly, I don't trust on what she's plotting right now.

"I would love a church wedding, Tita. Craine is still young, I don't want to pressure her, but yeah, after her graduation would be a better time to settle down."

Kael seems to be a good person, but sadly, I don't see a bit of affection towards him.

"What about you ijah?"

Walang emosyon na tiningnan ko si Mama. Napalitan na ang ekspresyon sa mukha n'ya nang makita ang di maipintang mukha ko.

"I'm still young, mom. I want to explore."

"She's right. It would be nice for Craine to just focus with her studies for now." Tito Kremon said that made me surprised. Ngayon lang s'ya sumingit sa usapan namin dahil kanina pa naman s'ya nakikinig lang.

Nag-usap pa sila nang kung-ano ano about sa negosyo habang ang isip ko ay nasa orasan, gusto ko na umuwi sa condo ko.

"Kael where is Lucian? We're almost done here pero wala pa yang kapatid mo."

Hindi maiwasang mapatingin ako kay Tito Kremon nang magsalita ito. May kapatid pala s'ya?

"She's on the way, Da-- Oh here she is!"

I extend my arm para uminom nang tubig. I divert my eyes to the entrance of the dining room para makita yung pumasok.

"Cian! Mind your manners!"

I stared at the green haired woman. Walang emosyon ang mukha nito habang tuloy-tuloy na pumunta sa gawi ni Kael, not minding her parents mad face.

That's why she looks familiar. Napakaliit nga lang talaga ng mundo para magkita ulit kami rito. She's far from the woman I met in La Isla Salvador.

Nababakasan ang gulat sa mata nito nang magtagpo ang paningin namin pag-upo n'ya. Walang ganang nag-iwas ako ng tingin at pinagpatuloy ang pagkain ko.

"Greet your Uncle Albert!" Tita Jean exclaimed.
