Chapter 16: Celebration

I wonder why the world always try to cut off the wings of magnificent beings in this world. We chase the reverting unknown, with nothing but our beliefs for something new.

"I saw Him. I saw Him engraved, and pinned the loopholes that's been bringing me this agony. I was too occupied of making myself be well known with materialistic effort that I forgot to satisfy the things that I should've been paying attention and give my absolute effort in understanding the essence of my life."

"Since when did you became so religious Fanny?" I asked while staring at her, focusing in her phone while watching the Heaven's Meet which is really popular since the 2000s. They are Christians.

"Silence. I need to focus."

Napakunot ang noong tinitigan ko ang mukha nito. Nasa Cornelia's Amphitheater kami ngayon. I was even wondering why she need to bring me with her. Only to find out na nakikiwifi lang pala s'ya para maka access sa Heaven's Meet.

"I know that's not your main motive why we're here. What now?" I rolled my eyes before leaning in the chair.

Nasa taas kami kaya makikita yung stage sa baba. May iilan ring mga tao sa loob, nagpapalipas ng oras.

Napatigil naman ito bago tumingin sa'kin. Nagdadalawang-isip pa ata ang isang 'to kung ano man ang sasabihin.

I saw her scratched the tip of her eyebrow before clearing her voice.

"Miss Delta is a member of Heaven's Meet."

Napataas ang kilay ko dahil sa sinambit nito. Ano ngayon kung member si Miss Delta?

"I-I'm just confused why she's a member when she's purely an evil sinister!" She added immediately when I just stared at her for a moment.

"Wag mo nga'kong inuulol Fanny, alam naman nating dalawa kung sino yung kulang-kulang talaga sa pagiisip sa pagitan n'yo ni Miss Delta."

Napaikot naman ang mata nito bago ako hinampas sa balikat. "Don't be ridiculous Craine. I'm just really curious."

"Wala ba kayong klase dalawa?"

Napunta ang paningin ko sa boses na nanggagaling sa gilid ko, only to find out that it's Arkray.

"Vacant namin eh, ikaw?"

My eyes landed to her hands with a clipboard. She's also holding a pencil in her fingers.

"Just try to sketch new designs. We're releasing new edition of close-up diorama of our course, sadly. We'll present it during the Annual Month of Erudites."

Tumingin naman ito sa'kin bago ngumiti.

"Do you have some time?" She whispered enough for me to hear.

"I'm not busy." I smiled.

"ADE 34, near the escape root of our department, quarter to six. See you there,"

Naguguluhang napatingin ako sa mukha nito nang malawak lang ito na nakangiti sa'kin matapos n'ya ibulong sa akin 'yun.

"Anong gagawin natin dun?" I asked, still confused.

"Basta, basta! Sumipot ka ah! I'll expect your presence later!"

Tumakbo na ito palayo sa'kin habang malawak ang ngiti. Anong nakain n'ya? Himala ata at nagyaya. Matagal-tagal narin kasi ako nitong hindi kinulit, busy rin kasi sa department n'ya eh kaya limited talaga yung oras.

"Anong tinitingin-tingin mo r'yan?"

"Wala naman." Nakangising sambit ni Fanny sa'kin.

"Oh s'ya mauna muna ako, may kukunin pa'kong libro." saad ko habang tumayo na sa upoan. May exam kami sa darating na linggo ngunit ni isang libro ay wala pa'kong nagalaw.
