Ch. 06 ⭐

Manik felt irritated that it took him a while to recognize the man with the jeep. It was the same person who had interrupted his conversation with Nandini at the hospital a few days ago. He had been burning with jealousy since seeing Nandini hug that man. Manik wanted to confront her for getting so close to someone else when she loved him. However, he realized it was his fault for pushing Nandini away. Determined to make amends, he decided to apologize and ask for another chance. After going home, showering, and changing, he returned to college.

In the cafeteria, Manik found Aliya and started chatting while waiting for the rest of Fab5. When Nandini and Navya entered, engaged in conversation, Manik suddenly called out, "Nandini! Hi."

Nandini and Navya exchanged confused glances as Manik approached them. "Come, sit with us," he offered, opening the chair beside him for her.

Nandini joined them at the table. "Tumne kuch khaya?" Manik asked. [Did you eat anything?]

Nandini shot him an angry look. "Harshad is here and he's watching us," Manik informed. So, Nandini, Aliya, and Dhruv, who had just arrived, began engaging in small talk.

Later that day, Manik took Nandini to an empty classroom, almost forcing her inside. Nandini noticed that Manik had written 'sorry' on over a thousand papers and plastered them all over the walls of the room. He apologized sincerely, promising that he would never do something so foolish again.

"I'm sorry, Manik. I don't know if I can forgive you or not," she told him before leaving the classroom.

In the afternoon, Harshad proceeded with his sinister schemes, launching an attack on Manik as he had planned. However, due to Nandini's timely warning, Fab5 was already informed of his intentions. Consequently, they managed to save Manik and capture Harshad confessing to his malicious actions, providing evidence that led to his arrest. As he was escorted away, Harshad issued a menacing threat to Nandini, warning her that she would regret assisting Fab5 and opposing him. This left Navya shocked, realizing that Harshad had slept with her solely to establish an alibi and nothing more. The revelation added another layer of betrayal and deceit to the unfolding events.

Fab5, Nandini, and Navya arrived at the police station to provide their statements against Harshad during the booking process. After the proceedings, as they exited the Police station, Fab5 stood together while Nandini and Navya positioned themselves on the other side. Fab5 focused on consoling Aliya, deeply affected by Harshad's actions as he was her brother. Nandini, meanwhile, comforted a teary-eyed Navya. Observing Navya's distress, Mukti understood the shared pain, as Harshad had victimized her as well.

"Navya, come with me. I'll drop you off at the hostel," Mukti offered.

"No need. Our ride is here," Nandini replied, pointing towards the entrance.

Fab5 turned to see an army jeep arriving, and a handsome man stepping out. Manik frowned upon recognizing the jeep and the man. "Who is THAT Hottie?" Mukti whispered to her friends.

"Wow. He is damn fit," Cabir commented appreciatively.

They witnessed the man rushing to Nandini and Navya, embracing Nandini tightly. Cabir turned to Manik with a puzzled look, whispering, "Dude, tere kabab mein yeah naya haddi kaun hai?" [Dude, who is this new bone in your kabab?]

Manik glared at his friend before refocusing on the scene. The man pulled back and cupped Nandini's face, expressing concern, "Are you okay? You're not hurt anywhere, are you?"

Nandini assured him, "I'm fine, Bhaiya. It's Navya who got hurt in the process," gesturing to the silently crying Navya.

Rajveer, frowning at Navya's tears, approached her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulders. Affectionately, he inquired, "Navya, why are you crying, little one?"
