"Have you heard?" Y/n glanced at the two girls from behind her locker. "About the vampire that roams this city?" "They say that you can see him in the shadows as he stalks his prey. There's a rumor going around that he comes here as soon as the sun sets."

A vampire? You scoffed as you slammed the locker. There's no such thing, you thought as you walked away. But still, you could feel a slight concern if it were somehow true. Other than that piece of gossip that you overheard, there wasn't anything else that piqued your interest. Thus the day passed in a blur and lunch came.

You grabbed your lunch from the locker and made your way to the rooftop. Not wanting to run into anyone you climbed the little building where the stairs were. "Ha~ it's fresh up here," Y/n mumbled as you closed your eyes. Letting the breeze run its cool fingers through your long h/c hair.

"Man imagine if the vampire actually comes to this crappy school!"

Y/n opened her eyes, e/c hues flashing in annoyance, seriously can't they talk about anything but that vampire.

"Hey I heard that it's a pretty lady," one remarked. "I'm getting goosebumps," he cooed. You gaged at what he was implying. Welp there goes my peaceful lunch.

"Hey, Y/n!" You turned upon hearing your name. "Oh, Ms. Wood how may I help you?"

"Oh thank goodness there was still someone here," she huffed as she came up to you. Y/n glanced at the window, it is pretty late. The sun was closing in on the horizon. You were pulled away from the view as the teacher dragged you through the halls. She stopped at a door and upon opening it, you could already guess what she wanted from you. "I have a date with Mr. Tsubaki—"

"And you want me to file these," Y/n finished. She side-eyed the teacher before giving in. It's not like I have anything better to do, you thought as you walked in. Setting your bag near the table stacked with papers. "Now to get started," you said sighing as you picked up a few papers.

Y/n moved from the table to the shelves throughout the room. Placing report cards, graded tests and quizzes, soon to be assigned homework, etc. Just as you were stifling through the last stack. The lights went out causing you to jump since there wasn't even light coming from the open window.

"Huh, it's already dark outside?" you mumbled as you placed the papers down and felt your way to your bag. Your fingers clasped the object you were looking for. Without hesitation, you turned on the flashlight.

A beam of light shot out illuminating the room. "Better finish this and head home," you said out loud as you went through the papers again.

In no time you were finished, "Now all that's left is to file the report." Y/n flopped onto the chair. A yawn escaped your lips as you started writing. Not wanting to spend a night at school you pushed through your drowsiness.

With a bang, the windows were pushed open. Causing you to jump, drowsiness forgotten. The curtains billowing in the sudden wind. Your paper fluttering to the door causing you to groan. Easily dismissing the sudden outburst. You closed the windows slightly to let the refreshing breeze filter in. Y/n let her feet guide themselves to the paper on the floor. Walking back to the table you set it down. But before you, yourself could take a seat. You felt your arms tingle. The air from outside seemed to be coming in more than you thought. And you were a little 'too' refreshed. You rubbed your arms in an attempt to warm them. However, that's the last thing they'd be doing.

The window was still open, but much more than it had been when you last left it. In fact...it was open all the way again. But this time you hadn't even heard a creak. The storeroom was barely big enough to fit a full class, with not much room to move around in. Since the shelves and table took up most of the space. And the only exits being said window and the door.
