H/c feathers glistened in the moonlight as a raven glided through the clouds. E/c eyes searched the rooftops as Y/n stretched her mind. Following the thread that would lead to his thoughts.
"Since I'm bored, should I go beat up some hero?"
Y/n dead-panned. Of course, he's thinking about that, you thought, ducking under a wire.
Dabi glanced behind him, seeing a raven flying towards him. His hand lit up, the blue hue bouncing off his scars, causing his eyes to glow. "Whoa, there's no need for that," you chuckled, shifting back midair.
Your feet lightly tapped the roof as you walked to him. You raised your hands to the flames. "I should have brought gloves. I guess it's almost Fall," you breathed. Silence followed as Dabi watched you. A bit confused as to why you haven't looked at him yet. Better yet, why were you here? "It's nice seeing you again, Dabi."
"Same," he whispered. "I heard you killed yourself," he said louder. You awkwardly chuckled. "I knew Eri would rewind me to normal. It was better than stabbing myself," you added quietly.
His eyes narrowed as his arm hovered near your side. "You stabbed yourself?" he asked quietly, unconsciously leaning closer. "Continuously," you added. He froze, the flickering flame was the only sound.
Y/n jumped when she felt an arm around her waist. A startled gasp left you as he pulled you down, leaning against the wall. "Dabi?"
"Shut up."
He extinguished the flames and pulled you closer. "Hey," you tried again, but he didn't reply. Time passed in silence as he tried not to let the memories overwhelm him. His grip on you tightened ever so slightly. My~ another cuddle fest? Signora stop, you mentally grumbled.
Even when he tried he couldn't help thinking about the incident at the playground. Touya wanted to protect you from this cruel society that the heroes built on lies, but you followed your parents.
Unlike them, you went to UA to become a hero. Since joining the LOV he was curious about them. He knew your parents were a lot older than they looked. If he put his parents' ages together, they were probably still older. He even thought that they were as old as All-for-One.
"Dabi." He blinked, cursing himself for getting caught up in his thoughts. He pushed your head against his chest when you tried to raise it. You pouted, getting annoyed, but you wanted to tell him your true feelings.
"You must have gotten sick of the pain." His words caught you by surprise.
"What do you mean? Me stabbing myself hurt, sure. But you're making it sound like," you trailed off, taking a deep breath. "I've been feeling pain for a long time."
"But you have. The only reason it stopped is because Lysandra is dead now."
Y/n shot up, bracing a hand against his chest as you stared down at him. His expression was blank as he held your gaze. "H-how did you—how did you know that? I never told anyone, and the one person I did couldn't have told you." You tilted your head as you glared at him. "So, how do you know?"
Your braid swayed in the sudden breeze as the silence continued. "God, that's hot."
A shocked and confused expression crossed your face as you gaped down at him. "Huh?" He merely smirked, a tic mark appearing as you tried to calm yourself.
You pulled him closer by the cuff of his shirt. "Dabi," you warned, glaring. His grin widened as he held up his hands. "Okay, okay, no need to get angry," he purred.
You looked away. "I didn't want anyone to know," you mumbled. "Then what about Creati?"
"I collapsed from the wounds, and she's the one who had bandaged me up. It's a given she saw it," you answered with a sigh. "You have a point," Dabi replied as you let go, suddenly tired from the conversation.
Dabi stared a bit baffled as he titled his head, studying you. She hasn't noticed, has she? Dabi thought, his eyes narrowing as he tried not to smirk.
You were practically sitting in his lap now, not that you seemed to have noticed.
"Since you came to Japan, I've been watching from a distance and recognized the wounds after you collapsed as soon as you got here," he added with a chuckle. You sighed, remembering that fire guy when you had come to Japan. Your eyes widened as you realized something. "Wait, how did you see my wounds!? They were on my back," you trailed off as your face flushed. "Frickin pervert!" you exclaimed, punching his face.
"Deserved that," Dabi chuckled, wiping the blood from his staples. "Ah, uh, sorry. I didn't mean to hit that hard," you quieted down, healing the wound. "As I said, I deserved it."
Y/n sighed as she stood, offering him a hand. "I wanted to talk to you, Touya," you announced. He quirked his head to the side as he took your hand.
"Must be important if a hero in training is coming all this way to meet a villain."
"Don't say that, but in all honesty," you trailed off, eyes traveling over the city, watching the ignorant people smile and laugh. "I can understand where the League is coming from." Your eyes narrowed as a bitter-sweet smile curled at your lips. "If Eraserhead hadn't taken me in when he did, I would have joined in a heartbeat."
Dabi's eyes widened as he turned to you. "Both our parents were heroes," you continued. "I still remember my parents complaining about the hero system back in America. When they visited your family in Japan, they noticed it was no different, if not worse, since All Might was here."
"But All Might isn't like the other heroes," Dabi added. He chuckled, "If I were to die at the hands of a hero, I'd want him to do it."
You gave him a side glare. "Don't say that." He merely shrugged it off. You sighed, "Guess I went off topic there."
Silence followed after that remark, and Dabi could tell you were nervous about something since you were squeezing your arm a bit too hard.
A sudden gust of wind shot past you, your braid and clothes swaying. "I've come to realize something," you started, looking down at the drop. "About my feelings," you finished.
Y/n could feel her nervousness building up, causing her voice to falter. "I-I wanted to tell you so you wouldn't—"
"I already know."
You stopped, feeling his presence right behind you. "You've fallen for Shoto, haven't you? Or is it that explosion brat?" he asked, hovering just over you as he fixed you with a soft expression, hands in his pockets.
You looked to the side as you mumbled, "Shoto."
"Called it," he said with a chuckle before sighing. " He's better looking and a gentleman, unlike that Pomeranian."
"I'm really sorry, Touya," you mumbled. He smirked, "That's alright." He pulled you by your arm, spinning you to face him. His hand cupped your chin and tilted your face closer as he smirked.
"Then I'll just have to be your first kiss."
