For days, Riley tried to find the courage to tell Dean that she wanted him all or nothing, and each time, her courage failed her at the last minute. After all, Dean hadn't slept with another woman since the case with Max and Riley hoped that he wanted a relationship with her, too. But if she was honest with herself, that wasn't the case, they were just too busy. It was the first day they could breathe, no case, no investigation, nothing. So Dean and Riley decided to go to the local diner so that Dean could finally eat his beloved bacon cheeseburger again and Riley could eat her favorite fries. "We need to take time off more often," Dean decided, stealing a fry from Riley's plate. Riley slapped his hand. "Dean! Get your own." "But it's much easier this way." Riley sighed, but let him steal another one. She watched Dean eat his burger, sip his beer occasionally, and not even look at the waitress, even though she was relatively good-looking and definitely fit his booty call mold. She took a deep breath. It was now or never. "Dean, we need to talk."
Dean looked at her expectantly, but before she could say a word, Sam walked into the diner. Sighing, Riley tossed the fries onto her plate as Sam sat down next to her. "What's up, Sammy?" Dean asked. "I think I have a new case for us. Sounds like something for us, at least." He opened his laptop and showed them a newspaper report about missing people in Hibbing, Minnesota. Riley frowned. "So people are disappearing, that's quite normal." "Yes, but not at that rate and they don't just disappear under a car," Sam replied and opened another report. Riley read it: "'Evan McKay said he heard strange noises that made him look out the window. A short time later, he saw his neighbor, Mr. Jenkins, disappear under a car. There were no other witnesses, but Mr. Jenkins' family reported him missing a few hours later.'" So we have monsters dragging people under cars, and what? Eat them?" Dean asked. "We'll have to find out," Sam said, closing his laptop and heading outside. Dean sighed, put some bills on the table and stood up. "What did you want to talk about?" Riley got up as well and shook her head. "Nothing important."

Sam put on his jacket to match his police uniform, Riley and Dean were already ready. "I'll wait in the car," Dean said and left the motel room. Riley looked after him, which made Sam grin. "When are you two going to admit that you want to be together?" Riley looked at Sam from the door. "Honestly, I was going to tell him that I wanted him at the diner. All the way or not at all. But a certain little brother got in the way," she smiled slightly. "What, honestly? Damn Ri, I'm sorry!" She shrugged. "Maybe I should take it as a sign that we can't do this. Dean's not the type for a committed relationship." Sam shook his head and pulled her to her feet. "Don't say that, okay? As soon as we find some time, I'll leave you two alone and you tell him." "It's okay, Sammy. Who knows, maybe he'll find another woman here." "He hasn't done that in weeks, Ri, and that says a lot about his feelings." She knew he was right, but she also knew it wouldn't change Dean's mind about relationships. "You know what? How about I question the boy alone and you two stay here and talk?" Riley shook her head. "We have a job to do. Feelings will have to wait."
