When their parents died and Branch hatched, JD made an announcement to their fans about how they needed to take some time off.

Their fans immediately became angry and upset.

JD tried to explain why but none of them listened.

A few even screamed about how they had to be "Perfect."

And that's where John Dory's mindset of being perfect came from.

During that time they had all received threats.

Eventually JD snapped and they performed once again, this time bringing Branch onto the actual stage.

But that night was the night it was all ruined.
