                                              If Branch had been the one kidnapped then his brothers would have also gotten caught.
Branch is the favorite brother, and while they would NEVER let eachother die like that, they would immediately barge in without a plan to save Branch.
With Floyd, they had a plan.
But I can just see them immediately running into the room and trying to twist the lid off together as they become desperate to save their almost see through baby brother.
I also feel like Branch would deteriorate faster then Floyd did.
Because not only was he grey for 20 years, but he had only been singing again for a few.
It's only worse when Velvet notices how good of a voice she gets from him because his voice is, "Like an angels."
So she and Veneer probably use him a lot more then they used Floyd because it makes them sound angelic.
