When I See You

Chapter 5.

Fantasia POV

We all sat at a large round table. I sat next to Taraji and Colman. Taraji's hand rested on my thigh and hasn't moved since. I didn't complain, i was comfortable.

"This food is too good , Corey i might have to go out to eat with you often," Colman laughed as he cut another piece out of his steak

"See Colman just wants an excuse to hang out with me and feel younger,"

"Hey hey hey , Colman is young!" Taraji testified and laughed. She reached over the table threatening to hit Corey jokingly.

"You are both young and beautiful!" Danielle sipped some of her drink.

"What're you thinking about Tasia?" Taraji's words slur just a bit. We've all been drinking some alcohol but nothing too much. "I feel like you're always thinking," she added as she rubbed my thigh. Up and down my leg.

"Well I do have a lot on my mind," I confessed as i took another sip of my drink.

"I know you're always so quiet. I wish I could be like you but I love to talk," Dani laughed and touched my shoulder.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't so shy or quiet. The thing I can't stop thinking about is Kendall. Him and I are together again. At the same time the thought of Taraji itches in my mind. Her touch and her smile. It's like whenever I think of Kendall she's right there to ease me.

We talked about it, and we're trying to work it out. I still love him. I think I'm with him for Dallas more than anybody else.

"I wish I could speak my mind like you do," I smile softly at Dani.

"Me too!" Corey smiled as well, "I wish I could be honest with my girl," Corey shook his head

"What do you mean?" Colman asked

"I just.. there's another woman in my life that I love," he looked over to Danielle, but Danielle seemed not to notice.

"Why are men like this? Just tell her , leave her," I protested. "Before falling in love or fucking someone else," I sat up. Everyone at the table looked at me in surprise.

"But I .. I don't know if she loves me too," Corey explained himself. "I'm afraid of being alone Fantasia,"

"Aren't we all?" I laughed to myself.

"Neither of you are going to be alone, okay? We have each other," Taraji looked at me and Corey.

"Alright, I think we should call it an evening," Colman stood up wiping his mouth.

"Can we cheers? To bring the new cast of the color purple. Let's manifest it, we are family regardless. We keep it real, I'm happy Fantasia disagreed with you. We won't always agree but we'll always have each other," Danielle raised up her glass

"Amen, that's right," Taraji lifted her glass up and so did Corey, Colman and myself.

Corey walked over to me giving me a hug. "You better do that girl right," I told him

He nodded his head, "I'll tell her tonight, I'll tell her the truth,"

"I'm proud of you. It's okay to fall out of love and to express yourself and experiment. Just be honest,"
