Chapter 19.

Tarajis POV

Once I finished up one of my conversations with a homeboy from back in the day he told me he would get right on it and keep my updated.

When I walked back out to my living room I saw Terrence and Fantasia sitting across from each other in silence. I sucked in my breath. I've been waiting to tell Tasia about him staying here. I wanted it to be a good time and today was obviously not the day.

I also haven't told anyone except Jussie about Fantasia. Not because I'm ashamed of anything of that matter but because i want privacy.

"I see that you two have met," I broke the silence and continued to stand.

"Yeah I didn't know that Terrence was staying with you," Tasia looked at me and was not pleased.

"I was going to tell you I just wanted to wait until a better time," I explained

"You don't have to explain anything to her," I could tell that Terrence was confused.

I sat next to Fantasia, "she's my best friend and she's just curious with what's going on in my life," I looked over to her and I knew I was in trouble.

"Yeah best friends," she glanced at me and tapped my legs twice. Her eyes back on Terrence. "Well how about you two? I can assume you are more than best friends?"

Before I could speak , Terrence did. "Well I'm trying to make things right between us," Terrence looked over to me. And so did Fantasia.

"We are only friends, that's our platonic relationship" I clarified. Terrence and I have been getting closer and I've chosen to forgiven him but that's not necessary right now.

"Only friends? Cookie I-"

I put my hand up to him. I gave Fantasia my full attention, only for her to get up. "Excuse me, I'm going to go use the restroom," she walked upstairs.

"Terrence," I threw a pillow at him. "We are only friends," I rubbed my forehead.

"She asked me a question, you're the only woman I've ever loved Cookie. What'd I do wrong?"

"I need you to stay in contact with Puma I'm trying to find someone," I changed the subject.

"I could've done that for you,"

"I know but I didn't want to involve you, but now I really need to find this person. No one can get it done like you both,"

"I'll let you know when it's time to bounce and get em. I'm only doing this for you Cookie,"

I nodded. "I know." I walked upstairs , going to my bathroom in my master bedroom.

I knocked lightly, "Baby you in here?" She flings the door opened. She's clearly been crying. She passes me making her way to the stairs. I walked behind her, grabbing her arm.

"Let me explain, please," I exhaled. She kept walking. "Please," I repeated. She stopped, I walked around her to see her face.

She searched my eyes. "Have you fucked him?"

"No, no I haven't even touched him Tasia. That's not me, that's Kendall," I found her hands, holding them in mine.

"How long has he been here?"

"A few weeks. I was waiting to tell you, so we could talk about it. He's only here until he's on his feet,"

"I wish you would've told me when he came,"

"Baby with the way you overthink I wouldn't have been able to talk to you without you trying to ghost me,"

She opened her mouth only to close it.
