From where I was standing, I could see every movement he made, every step he took, every magic trick he would pull. From my position, I could study him. And that pleased me. I had been told to be in charge of Loki once he was thrown into his cell after Thor managed to bring him back from Midgard. I had to keep an eye on him at all times, day and night. They still thought he was dangerous and they didn't know how his twisted mind worked, not really. Only me. And that was the main reason I had been put in charge of our misguided god. I didn't even think about it twice before I accepted gladly.

Loki was lying down on the small bed that his mother had managed to place in his cell. For a prisoner, he had privileges the other didn't; courtesy of Frigga. His feet were crossed at the ankles, his left hand was behind his head and he was playing with an item in his right hand, tossing it gently upwards to then catch it in his hand over and over again. Despite the privileges he had and the books that Frigga handed him, he was usually bored. We all knew what entertained him. Murder and wreaking havoc. That was his sick idea of fun.

I stepped out of the dark and leaned against the pillar in front of the larger window, crossing my arms over my chest. And I couldn't help the smirk that curved my lips.

"Is the «king» bored?" I asked mockingly.

He caught the item in is hand but didn't toss it upwards again. He turned his face in my direction, his right hand still up in the air. He looked at me briefly before returning to his original position, and he began to toy with that thing in his hand again.

"Leave." He demanded in a neutral voice as he tossed the item non-stop.

I chuckled at his words. "Now, why would I do that? When it's such a delight to watch you."

I uncrossed my arms and walked over to his cell, standing a few inches from the window between him and I.

"Don't you want company?" I mocked, but it didn't seem to bother him at all. He kept amused on his little «game». But I knew better.

I opened the cell and stepped inside before locking it again.

"I said leave." He said sternly. And I could see how his whole body tensed up. He would throw the ball with more force, angrily.

Now, that's what I was talking about. He could deceive Thor or Odin. He could even deceive the entire realm if he pleased, but he couldn't deceive me.

I chuckled as I sat down on one of the chair. I crossed my legs at the knees and looked at him.

"What is it, Loki? Don't you want to see me anymore?"

He stopped plating and sat upright, swinging his feet on the side of the bed before placing them on the floor. He leaned down, placing his elbows onto his knees, holding the object he had been playing with in his hands.

He looked at me, anger flashing in his eyes. I licked my lips, smirking.

"No, I don't." he finally said. His jaw clenched and unclenched repeatedly.

"Why?"

"You betrayed me!" He yelled, shooting to his feet as he threw the object against the wall. Whatever it was, it shattered, the tiny pieces scattered on the floor.

My smile grew wider and I licked my lips, leaning against the back of the chair. I watched him walk aimlessly around the cell. He was tensed up and furious.

"Did I?"

"Don't you dare to mock me." He turned around, pointing a finger in my direction.

I looked at him in those blue-green eyes of his which were flashing with anger.
