Alright, I said that the last chapter would be short because this chapter would be really long. But I decided to cut it short, because I don't want to bore you with a SUPER long chapter. So enjoy.

Nick's P.O.V.

A few hours pass before the door opens again and Dr. Lauren steps out.

"How is she?" I ask, as I stand and rush to the doctor's side.

"She'll be fine after a while, she's just very tired and she will need a lot of nourishment once she wakes up." Dr. Lauren answers.

I sigh in relief. She's my mate, I need her to be okay.

"There's one thing." The doctor says, raising a single finger.

"What?" I growl, suddenly feeling nervous again.

"She was wearing this." She answers, handing me an object.

It's a small amulet with a tiny golden arrowhead hanging from the top. The main part of the amulet is black, but shaved stripes carved along the bottom, with the arrowhead hanging I front of the black portion. The whole charm is held on a very long, golden chain, long enough that it wouldn't snap when she shifted. (Picture up above, or to the side. whichever you guys see it) I've seen this sort of necklace before, but they are extremely rare, and symbolize a lot of power.

"It's an Alpha pendant." I say, slowly turning it around in my hands.

"Indeed." She confirms.

"How could someone be this disrespectful to their Alpha!?" I shout, barely able to control my wolf from taking over.

'And to our mate!' Xavier (his wolf), reminds me.

A low growl escapes me at the thought of someone hurting our mate especially since our mate is of the alpha bloodline. My fists clench and my body's arts shaking with rage. I feel like punching something, but I know it won't help anything or anyone.

Suddenly, a young women with bright red hair comes running out of my room where my mate is. I believe her name is Mabel.

"A-Alpha, s-she's awake!" She says, slightly out of breath.

I nod my head in a quick acknowledgment as I run past her, into my room. I find my mate frantically looking around the room. Her hand is raised to her neck, as if she's looking for something to be there. Her long delicate fingers curl over, like she's trying to grab something.

"Where is it? Where is it!?" she asks herself quietly, since she hasn't noticed I'm in the room yet. She starts frantically looking through the sheets.

"Looking for this?" I ask, stepping forward and dangling the pendant on my finger. Her blonde covered head snaps up to look at me. I see her blue eyes widen as she sees me, and she scrambles back on the bed in fear.

I walk towards her to hand her necklace back to her, but when I reach out my hand, she throws her arms over her head.

"No! No!! Please don't hurt me!" She screams, tears already making their way down her face.

"I'm not going to hurt you, I swear." I rush, astounded by her words. Her arms shift slightly so she can peek up at me, mesmerizing me all over again with the color of her eyes.

I drop down to my knees in front of her, reaching out my hand and cupping her cheek gently. She obviously isn't comfortable with the contact, because her body stiffened, but she didn't try to move away.

"I'm sorry." She whispers.

"What are you sorry for?" I ask, running my thumb lightly over a purple bruise on her cheek. She flinches in slight pain, but answers me.

"I'm sorry I spoke."

"Don't be sorry, I love your voice." I answer truthfully. I really do love the sound of her voice.

She blushes slightly and looks away, directing her attention to the floor. We sit in silence for a moment, before I decide to speak.

"So you're my mate." She only nods, still not looking at me. "Oh come on, I'm not that ugly, am I?" I joke, hoping to get her to laugh. Instead, she snaps her head up to look at me, her eyes widening in fear.

"No, no, no, I just... I didn't... I'm sorry." She rushes out, flinching back.

"Hey, hey, hey, I was only joking sweetheart." I say, giving her a small reassuring grin. "But seriously though, am I really that ugly that you won't look at me?"

"No, you're actually the most gorgeous man I've ever seen." She blurts, and when she realizes what she said, her hands fly over her pretty pink lips and her cheeks flush.

She looks so adorable that I have to laugh.

"Don't worry, I think you're gorgeous too."

The corners of her mouth turn down I a frown, and her blush goes away before she shakes her head.

"I'm not pretty." She states, still shaking her head.

"Who told you that you aren't!?" I shout, making her cringe.

"Everyone." She whispers, making my hands clench in rage.

"Well, not anymore. You're going to be respected as a Luna, and no one will ever disrespect you."

"You don't want me as a Luna, I wasn't even good enough to be treated as the daughter of an alpha."

Her words that she's speaking about her old pack is making it very difficult to control Xavier.

"Speaking of which, this is yours." I say, placing we her pendant in her hand. My mate quickly slips it over her head, resting it on the hospital gown the doctor must've dressed her in. She breathes a sigh of relief before looking at me and smiling slightly. She takes my hand hesitantly and pressed a tiny kiss of gratitude on my knuckle.

Xavier growls with pleasure, but she must've taken this as anger because she quickly drops my hand and apologizes.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have. I'm just grateful. I'm sorry, I won't touch you again." She rants apologetically.

"It's fine." I say, trying to wave it off. But my hand is still tingling with the feeling if my mate's touch. "Whats your name?"

"Komorah," She whispers, "W-what's yours?"

"Nick." I answer, "You have a beautiful name."

Komorah blushes a little before giving me a baby, tiny smile.

"I like yours too." Xavier purrs lightly, a sound I've never heard him make before. Komorah jumps at the sound, but then she relaxes completely.

"Why are you being so nice to me?" She asks.

"Why shouldn't I be nice to you?" I ask, a little upset that she asked that question.

"Nobody ever has been, and besides, you're just going to reject me anyways." Komorah says quietly.

"Why would I reject you!?" I shout, and she flinches back.

"Because I don't deserve a mate." She says, "You deserve someone a lot better, someone who isn't broken."

"Everyone deserves a mate baby, and you are just perfect." She shakes her head to disagree, but I place my hand under her chin, stopping the movement. "Now you listen to me, you are incredible, and you are my mate. I will not reject you, and I won't reject you, or hurt you. Ever."
