Nick's POV

I wake from my peaceful sleep by the sound of beautiful giggling. I groggily pry my eyes open and look over at Komorah. She's sitting up, watching cartoons on the TV across from our bed.

"Hey babe, what are you doing?"

She glances over at me and grins,
"Good morning Nick, did you sleep okay?"

I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her closer. She laughs softly as I nuzzle my face into her neck.

"I slept great with you next to me. What are you watching?"

"I'm watching Looney Tunes, do you want to watch with me?" She asks.

"I'd do anything with you," I answer, planting small kisses all over her face, "and do you know why?"

"No, why?" She asks.

"Because I'm crazy about you. I love you, my beautiful girl."

_------------------------------------------_

"Hey honey, do you want to go out for supper with me tonight?"

"Only if you want to." Komorah answers, looking at me after swallowing a forkful of scrambled eggs. I'm glad she's finally eating as much as she can, she's starting to look a little bit healthier. Her cheeks have a natural pink to them.

"Of course I want to. How about 6:00?"

I grab her plate once she finishes her food and she looks at me, nodding in agreement.

"I'd be glad to go out with you. But are you sure you want to be seen in public with me?"

I drop the dishes down in the sink and turn back around. Her head is downcast and I walk over to her. My hands cup her cheeks and she still avoids looking me in the eyes.

"Komorah, look at me," I order.

She meets my eyes hesitantly, and her eyes show apprehension, so I kiss her nose reassuringly.

"Don't worry sweetie, I'm not mad at you, I'm just disappointed with myself for not showing you how much I care about you. I'm sorry for that. Believe me when I say this, you're the sun and the moon to me. Don't even get me started on the stars. I want you to understand that I'll always want to be around you, even of you don't want me around you."

Her eyes look straight into mine, and she answers me by saying,

"I don't think I'll ever want to be away from you Nick. You mean an awful lot to me too. And I'm sorry I'm not as good with sweet words as you are."

"I think you're perfect just the way you are, and every word that I hear from your beautiful mouth is music to me."

"Th-thanks Nick." Komorah responds. Her voice breaks slightly with the tears that I can see sforming in her eyes.

I pull her off the stool onto her feet, and wrap my arms around her shoulders. Her slim arms slowly encircle my waist and hold me tight. Komorah's arms may be fragile, but they can really grapple onto something tightly. I feel as if my ribs are being crushed. I don't dare tell her that, because I don't want her to be afraid to hug me again.

After a little bit, I pull away from her gently, and wipe the tears off of her cheeks.

"There, now do you still want to have supper with me tonight?"

"Of course I do, thank you."

"Then it's a date."

---------------------------------

Komorah's POV

He asked me out on a date! I'm so excited! I was worried at first that he wouldn't really want to be seen with me, but he put those doubts to rest with his pretty words.

Nick's sister, Raquel, is going to be here any minute to help me get ready since I have no idea what I'm doing.

Just as I finish my thought, Raquel barges through the door holding a large bag on a hanger and another large bag that is covered in what appears to be power of some kind. I'm guessing that's the makeup. I saw girls at my old pack wear it, but it was always so much. Raquel wears a lot less than them, and I hope she does the same for me.

"Hi darlin', you ready to get all beautified up for your man?" she squeals, dumping her stuff on the floor.

I nod, and give her a small, shy smile. I really like her, but I don't know what to do with all of her craziness sometimes.

"So I'm thinking a nice red, I think it'll go really nice with your skin tone," she just goes on and on about what I should wear and I can hardly keep up with her. Mainly I just smile and nod.

Raquel picks up the bag on the hanger and pulls out a pretty dark red dress. The skirt is long enough that it will end a little bit above my knee. The bodice is a sweetheart neckline with a thick black belt around the waist. The sleeves are 3 quarters length and loose. Raquel also dogs out a pair of black wedges, but they're only about 1 and a half inches tall.

"Don't worry Honey, they aren't high enough for you to fall, but flats don't match the style of the dress." Raquel assures me. I nod in understanding and thank her for thinking ahead.

She has me slip on the dress and then begins on my hair. She braid a piece of it in the front and pulls out the sides so it's bigger and looks more full. Then, she brings the rest of it around and pins it together in a bun, then wraps the braid around it. In the end, it looks both cutesy and elegant. Raquel does my makeup light and doesn't stop blabbering the entire time. She's so odd, but I love her for it right now, because it quells my nervousness for the date.

"Ok, you're all set babe," Raquel states, handing me a mirror. I don't even look before I put it down and give her a hug.

"Thank you so much," I whisper into her ear.

"You're welcome, now go get your man and start your date already."

I laugh slightly and leave the room and start walking down the stairs towards the front door. When I get there, Nick is already there waiting for me.

He sees me coming, and scans me from head to toe. When he's done, he lets out a low whistle before walking up to me.

" Baby girl, you look absolutely amazing."

I blush and thank him while hesitantly grabbing his hand. He threads his fingers through mine and gently starts pulling me towards the door after helping me get my coat on.

"Well, are you ready for our date Komorah?"
