Nick's P.O.V.
Once we got back to the pack house, Dr. Lauren took Komorah into the hospital. She didn't even listen to my suggestion to bring her to my room. She dismissed the idea, skating my mate's injuries were too exclusive to be taken lightly; especially after losing so much blood.
She's been in the room with my mate for about three hours, and I'm starting to really freak out. I know she's still alive, because I'd be able to feel it if she died. My face is red and my knuckles are bleeding firm punching different things.
She's not allowed to die.

After what seems like forever, Dr. Lauren returns to the waiting room, looking incredibly tired. I stand up instantly and move to the doctor's side.
"How is she? Is she going to be okay> What's wrong with her? Can I see her?" I rapid-fire questions at her, dreading most of the answers.
"Alpha, please calm down." Dr. Lauren says soothingly. "She'll be okay, she just accquired quite a lot of injuries from the attack. You can go in and see her now.
"Thank you doctor." I respond, rushing past her and into the room that held my beautiful mate.
When I open the door, my breath caught in my throat at the sight of my lovely mate, and not in a good way. Her throat is stitched up and bandaged, and you can see new cuts over her old bruises. She has three long, deep claw marks across one eye that's pretty deep, but they shouldn't leave scars.
I walk to the chair next to Komorah's hospital bed and grip her hand in mine. She still has her alpha pendant on and I take the time to admire it since she's asleep. My other hand moves up and cups the pendant in my open palm, gently turning it so I can look at it.
My breath hitches as her eyes snap open and her hand moves at the speed of light and whacks mine away from her necklace while growling lowly. When her eyes land on me and then at the hand she just hit away, they widen to a size that would almost be comical if it wasn't obvious that eye was freaked out.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, I just thought that you were trying to take it." She explains, as afraid and paranoid as she was when I first met her.
"I understand," I say, waving it off, "but what I don't understand, is why you ran."
Komorah looks down at her lap and uses the hand that isn't held by mine to play with the thin hospital sheet.
"S-she said you felt sorry for me," she whispers sorrowfully, "that you were actually disgusted by me." I growl loudly and she shrinks back in fear.
"Whatever Lexi might've told you, it wasn't true. I adore you, and I need you to know that. Without you, I wouldn't be whole, you complete me." I state truthfully. Her eyes water and I quickly pull her into a hug.
Soft sobs escape her and she clutches me desperately.
"Are you really real?" She asks, grabbing onto my bare arms and pulling back slightly to look me in the eye.
"I'm for real baby, you have nothing to worry about."
'Take Lexi down to the cells, we need to have a little talk.' I mind link Louis, while still holding onto Komorah.
"Thank you."
"You say thank you too much, you have absolutely nothing to thank me for."
"But I do." She insists, "I have a new pack if you'll accept me, a new chance at life, and most importantly, I have you." Her beautiful works warm my heart, and I can't help but lean forward and press my lips against hers. When I realize what I'm doing, I pull away quickly and watch what my mate does. Her eyes were still on me, but you could tell her min was somewhere else. Her small hand moves up and tentatively touched her delicate pink lips.
