Hua's Pov
"Tch, can't you ever do anything right? Do I look like I have nothing better to do?!" Mr. Wen, My boss, shouted with his usual deadpan expression but I could feel the annoyance radiating of off him. He never understands my point of view, I may have been in the wrong this time, but that doesn't justify his hatred towards me every time! How the hell was I supposed to know that tulips are used at funerals, I'm not a florist.
I sighed and hung my head low, trying to hold in the tears threatening to fall. Even though I was used to his mean words and disappointed gaze, this didn't hurt any less especially since I worked so hard on this. He stood up walking around his desk towards me, using his index finger to make me look up at him. "Look at me when I'm talking to you." He ordered. I gulped "Y-yes, sir."
He always gets in my personal space just because he's the team leader doesn't mean he has the right to be so- "Are you even listening to me?!" I jolted out of my thoughts as he shouted again. "I'm sorry sir I-" he interrupted me, "Sorry sorry sorry, that's all you ever know how to say. Why don't you fix your fucking mistakes instead." he snarled. My eyes widened at him swearing. That's when I snapped, "Okay fine I get it, I messed up. But it isn't that big of a deal, why are you always so hostile?! It's my first time living too, why won't you-"
His eyes darkened and he gripped my chin with his fingers, effectively shutting me up. "What. did. you. just. say?" The coldness in his voice was enough to tell me I said something wrong. "S-sir?" I stuttered. He let go and stepped back, "Leave." He spoke, not making eye contact. "Sorry?" I wasn't sure what he meant by that, Was I fired? Did he just want me to leave his office or-
"I SAID LEAVE!" I flinched at the sudden increase in volume and quickly left before anything else happened.

Next weekWe were having a meeting discussing an overnight trip to Shenzhen that Mr. Wen would be going on. Originally Mr. Xu was supposed to accompany him but he came down with the flu so one of us would have to go in his place. "Any volunteers?" Mr. Wen called out to the room. Ms. Daiyu Lin, one of our team members, who openly crushed on Mr. Wen ; found this trip to be the perfect opportunity to finally get her little office crush to turn into something more.
"Mr. Wen~ I'm free on the weekend, I could accompany you." She smiled, showcasing her clearly veneered teeth. "No, you aren't fit for it." He dismissed. She lowered her gaze and stayed silent.
Ouch. I'm not her but even I can feel the embarrassment."Sigh I'll just find someone myself by tomorrow, Just stay ready to leave incase It ends up being you." Mr. Wen concluded, before stepping out. I patted Ms. Lin's back, "It's alright, He probably just feels uncomfortable with it being a woman." I consoled with a pitiful smile. "You think?" She glanced up at me hopefully, as if my words would change anything. "Yeah, he was supposed to go with Minghao afterall." I reassured, It wasn't exactly a lie.

Next morningI was fast asleep, It was a Saturday and I had no responsibilities today. I awoke at the sound of my alarm and checked the time "6:50...why do I have an alarm set for now?" I quickly recalled that Mr. Wen had made us do that just incase he chose us for the trip. "Well it's not gonna be me of all people, he would've texted by now-" ring ring ring
I looked to see who was calling, "Caller ID- Mr. Wen Junhui"I was confused but quickly picked up. Before I could speak, his voice rang through the phone "Why didn't you reply to my text?" He spoke, his voice a little raspy signaling he hadn't been awake for long. "What text, sir?" "Tch. Just pack your stuff, you'll be accompanying me." Before I could say anything in return, he hung up. I groaned in annoyance, he never lets me talk.
