Ch 28

| Stephanie's POV |
"You just have to stay calm." Matt said.
"You want me to stay calm at a time like this!" I said in disbelief.
"Look I know it's not the right thing to say but, Stephanie! You almost killed that girl!" He said.
"Because she deserved it!" I said.
"No one deserves to die!" He said.
"Are you defending her?!" I asked.
"No! Believe me! I want her in jail as much as you do! But if you go and start more problems, you could be the one getting into trouble also. I don't want that!" He said.
"Matt! It's just that.. I trusted her! I helped her so much! I don't know what I did to her for her to do this to me! I claimed her as my best friend! It hurts that my own best friend tried killing my children! She was there with me, for the birth of my children! She helped me and to have her do that.. It hurts so bad! I want to know why she did it! Was she trying to just hurt me or what?!" I said crying.
"I didn't do it to hurt you.." I heard someone say.
I turned around and Cj was standing at the door frame with her arms crossed.
"What are you doing here?" Matt asked.
"Relax. Police are downstairs. I confessed. I didn't do it to hurt you. I did it because I was forced..I was threatened to be killed if I didn't do it... I know I'm a horrible person but I don't want to go to jail without telling you everything first." She said.
"How much time do you have?" I asked.
"12 hours." She said.
"Start talking." I said.
"So.. The day of the baby shower.. When you started having those pains, we rushed you to the hospital.. I had to leave early because my brother wanted me for some reason.. So I walked out and I was grabbed my these people and they carried me someplace I didn't know. There was a man.. And he said he wanted to see his grandson and granddaughter.. I didn't really think about the fact that it was either one of your dads. I was too scared... So then he said that I had to come up with a way to take them from you.. Trust me.. I hesitated so much but they beat me until I agreed. This eye was not because of you trying to kill me it was because they were trying too.. Anyways, when I finally agreed.. I thought they would let me go and I could make a run for it.. But I was wrong.. They kept me there until I came up with something.. When I finally did they let me go and go home and act normal.. I didn't come up with the idea to take them from you at the grocery store.. They took me again and brought me where the babies were. I tried everything to get them out of there! Believe me! But it wasn't easy! He had another man watching me named Charles. When they let me go to go to my house.. I want thinking.. I rushed to the police station and told them everything except the part about me agreeing and being there. I told them I was kidnapped also. Which technically I was but they don't see it that way.. And when I told them.. They called to put an APB and they rushed over to where I told them the babies were. The only people there were the bodyguards. The man named Charles and the other guy were gone. And I started thinking.. I'm not safe! The only place I'm really safe is jail. Which is why I confessed." She said.
I did not know how to take that in.
"I didn't know who the other guy was. The bodyguards took the original guys names. One played Charles and the other played-" I cut her off.
"My father.." I mumbled.
