| Stephanie's POV |
"Wait.. But how can that be if your father is dead and the guy used a middle name." Matt said.
"I never really knew what happened to my dad but I'm sure he wasn't stupid enough to give out his actual name and all that other information that guy gave out." I said.
"Well I don't know.. But I just want to say I'm sorry! I really didn't want this to happen." Cj said.
"Well you can't go to jail! You have to tell them what really happened!!" I said standing up ready to go down stairs to talk to the police.
"No there's nothing I can do. They issued a warrant and there's nothing I can do about it." She said.
"Well-.. I mean you could at least explain! Can't you?" I said.
"No.. But it's fine.. My lawyer said she'll work on getting me out soon and proving that I didn't do anything wrong.. In the mean time I'm going to be spending time in a cell behind bars.." She said.
She walked over to me and gave me a hug.
"I'm sorry Steph." She said.
"It's fine. I hope you get out soon." I said.
"Cj Brenner. Let's go." A police man said.
"Again I'm so sorry Stephanie! And I'm so sorry Matt!" She said as she was pulled away from the officer.
"Wow. I can't even find the words to describe how I feel based on what I just heard.." Matt said.
"I felt my stomach knot up. I can't believe this. Babe, my dad! He's out there and I didn't even know it! What if he tried coming for me or tries getting the kids again?!" I asked freaking out.
"That's not gonna happen." I heard someone say from behind me.
I turned around and Cameron was at the doorway.
"Oh my god Cameron! Did you hear what Cj said?!" I asked while hugging him.
"Yea.. And it won't happen. Because I want you guys to move out to L.A with me." He said.
"What?!" Matt and I said at the same time.
"Yea.. There's an apartment that's available a couple doors down from mine and it's a pretty big size for 4 people. The rent is alright and plus I kinda already bought it for you guys." He said.
"Cameron this is a big decision for us to make! We can't just pack our stuff and move to L.A!" I said.
"Yea we can! Let's go to L.A!" Matt said cheering.
"Ahh!! Really!? Thank you so much!! I can't believe it! I'm moving to L.A!! I actually wanted it so bad, I just played it cool and put my adult senses in about decision making." I said laughing.
"Well we're gonna have to wait for the babies to get out of the coroners office before we can leave." I said.
"More like dungeon." Matt said.
"Well can you call Matt! To see when they'll be released?" I said.
He nodded and walked out pulling out his phone.
"Should I start looking for plane tickets?" I asked Cameron.
"No need I already got them for Monday." He said.
"That's only three days! I have three days to get everything ready? What about furniture?! Cameron! this is such late notice!" I said.
"Don't worry! I got it covered I ordered the couches you've always wanted and the bed you have wanted also!" He said.
"Are you serious?! Oh my god! I love you so much!!" I said jumping on top of him.
"Ok! Get off!" He said pushing me off.
"Ok they said we can stop by Tomorrow to check up on them and see if they're stable enough to come home." Matt said walking in.
"Ok well.. It's getting pretty dark and late so I'm going to sleep! Cameron you can stay in the guest room! Matt you can sleep with me!" I said.
"Do I have a choice?" He asked playfully.
"Ehh not really!" I said grinning and walking out to brush my teeth.
----------------------------
The next morning I woke up to the smell of food entering my nostrils.
I slowly got out of bed and put on my slippers and walked downstairs.
"Mmmm!! I smell food!!" I yelled.
"You smell right!" Cameron said.
"What are the men of the house cooking for me?!" I asked entering the kitchen.
"Well.. We were gonna make pancakes.. But we didn't have any batter.. So we made eggs, with Sausage!" Matt said.
"I wanted pancakes but I'll still eat the sausage!" I yelled.
"No. Please never do that again!" Cameron said.
"What time do we go to the police department?" I asked.
"They said any time before 5:00" Matt said.
I nodded my head as I served my plate. I sat down and Cameron and Matt joined me.
"So how's life for you fine human beings?!" I asked.
"It's pretty good!" Matt said.
"Yea! Life in L.A is good! There's a lot of cool people and it's just really fun!" Cameron said.
"God I can't wait to get to L.A! "Hurry and eat so we can go and get my kids!" I said eating faster.
We finished and got ready.
Once we were ready we got in the car and drove off. we pulled up to the police station and parked the car and rushed inside.
We walked in and waited to be noticed.
"Matt! Stephanie! Come this way!" We heard the police officer say.
We followed the officer down a long hallway until we reached a room.
"Ok. Have a seat. So we have reached a verdict. You can take your kids home today." He said.
"Thank you so much!" I said.
"No problem. The coroner is just getting them fixed up and they'll bring them to you in a bit." He said standing up and exiting the room.
"Finally! I'm going to hold them and take them home! I can finally breastfeed again!" I said and Cameron and Matt looked at me weird.
"What?" I asked.
"They're a year old. They don't breastfeed anymore!" Cameron said.
"Well it wouldn't hurt to try!" I said.
"Please don't!" Matt said.
I rolled my eyes and saw people entering the room with the babies.
"My kids!" I said as they entered.
"Handle them with extra care! We injected them because they were lacking vitamins. They're probably still sore. But here are you babies." The coroner said.
She gave me Mason and she gave Marissa to Matt.
"I can't believe it! Finally! I'm finally happy!" I said as we walked out with the babies.
