Ch 40

| Stephanie's POV |
I had closed my eyes waiting for Matt to take a hit or something, but he didn't do anything.
"Why are you closing your eyes?" He asked.
"I-I thought you were going to umm..-"
"You thought I was going to hit you?" He asked.
I nodded my head.
"I'm not that stupid, Steph! I would never do that!" He said.
"You've done it before! What's stopping you from doing it again?" I asked looking into his eyes.
"I will never. Ever. Do that again. I don't care if I've done it before, but my hands, will not harm, no part of your body, for as long as I live!" He said staring into my eyes.
I kept sobbing.
"I'm sorry!" Was the last thing I said before grabbing the kids and walking out the door.
I walked to Cameron's house and grabbed the key that was under the mat. I let the kids in first, and walked in after them.
"Where are we?" Mason asked.
"Uncle Cameron's house. He's working. He'll be here later." I Said.
Then Jaxx came running towards us and the kids screamed in fear.
"Mommy!" Marissa yelled crying.
I chuckled at their reaction and picked up Marissa and told Jaxx to go away.
Then there was pounding on the door. I put Marissa down and went to open it and Matt was standing there with fear in his eyes.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"I heard the screams and I thought you guys were hurt." He said.
"No it was just Jaxx that scared the kids." I said.
He stared at me, before entering and closing the door behind him.
He turned me around and pinned me against the door before smashing his lips onto mine. I missed his lips. They fit so perfectly on me and every time I jus craved more. He slipped his tongue into my mouth and I did the same. He finally pulled away.
"I'm sorry." He whispered as he hugged me tightly, putting his head on the crook of my neck.
I hugged him back.
"Matt, I already said I forgave you." I said.
"Doesn't mean you're not still mad at me." I said.
"I'm still angry at you." I said.
"I know. Which is why.. I'm taking you out." He said.
"Right now?" I asked.
"No later. Gives you time to get ready!" He said kissing my cheek.
I let out a small smile.
"How should I dress?" I asked.
"Dress like if you were going to see the president." He said.
I nodded and he went back to the apartment.
I grabbed Cameron's keys, some
Money from his drawers, and headed out with the kids to go shopping. I'll pay him back.
I walked out and put the kids in Cameron's car. I drove to the mall, and walked into Forever 21.
"Ok guys! We're going to look for a dress for mommy!" I said.
"Party!!" Mason yelled.
"Mason quiet down!" I scolded.
"Sowwy." He said.
I walked over to where they had dresses and looked at some. I found a really pretty white strapless dress that went down to my ankles, and had an opening for my left leg.
"You should try that on!" I heard someone say.
I turned around and saw an employee.
"Yea! I think I am!" I said.
"Ok! If you need any help, just let me know!" She said.
I nodded and grabbed the dress, and went into the fitting rooms.
"Ok wait for mommy out here, sit in these chairs." I said as we walked inside the fitting rooms.
I walked into a room, and started taking my clothes off. I got a text.
Jake: Hey are we still up for hanging out?
Shit! I forgot about Jake!
Steph: Sorry Jake but something has come up and I won't be able to make it.
Jake: that's fine! Maybe another time?
Steph: yea for sure!
Jake: ok.
I put the dress on, and I loved it. it hugged my waist perfectly and then it went straight down.
"What do you guys think?" I asked the kids as I walked out to show them.
"Mommy! Pretty!" Marissa said.
"Really?" I asked.
She nodded. then the same employee, that talked to me earlier came in.
"Oh my god!! That looks so cute!!" She said.
"Thank you! I think I'm going to take it!" I said looking at myself again.
"If you don't, I will!" She said.
"I'm taking it!" I said.
"Great!! Hey, aren't you the new employee that starts next Monday?" She asked.
"Yes I am. How did you know?" I asked.
"I saw you last time you came for an application and the manager told us and showed us your picture." She said.
"Oh yea I'm going to start next week." I said.
"That's good! We can become friends!" She said.
"Yea! I'm Stephanie!" I said.
"Kaylee." She said.
"Nice to meet you! Well, I better go, I have to get home and get ready! I'll see you on Monday!" I said.
"Ok! Here I'll take you over to the counter!" She said and we followed her after I went to take the dress off.
She scanned the tag and told me the total and I payed.
"Here you go! See you on Monday!" She said handing me my bag.
"Ok bye!" I said and walked out.
As I was walking to the car, I got a call. It was Matt.
Steph: Hello?
Matt: where are you?!
Steph: the mall why?
Matt: just wondering! See you at home!
He then hung up. See you at home? He probably wasn't home.
I got home and Matt wasn't home. I did my makeup and my hair. I straightened it. After, I put the dress on, along with some glittery gray pumps. I put on earrings and sprayed perfume.
Then I went to get the kids dressed. I put on a little tuxedo on Mason and a white dress on Marissa. I put a little headband with a grey flower on Marissa.
After we were ready, it was 7. I called Matt, because I was worried.
Matt: Hello?
Steph: Matt! Where are you?
Matt: come to the Beach Park.
Steph: why?
Matt: just come. And bring the kids.
Steph: well I have no where else to leave them.
Matt: be here in 15 minutes.
He hung up.
"Ok let's go!" I said grabbing everything I needed.
I went into the car, and turned it on and drove to the location.
After getting there, Cameron was waiting out at the parking area.
"Hey! What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Come with me!" He said.
I got the kids out and they ran to Cameron.
"Mommy took your money!" Mason yelled.
Snitch.
"You took my money!?" Cameron asked.
"Just like $100 dollars." I said.
"Just?!" He said.
"I'll pay you later! So what are you doing here?" I asked.
He grabbed my hand and locked it with his.
He gave Marissa and Mason little baskets of flowers.
"What's going on?" I asked as we turned the corner.
"Ok kids. When Mommy walks down the aisle, you're going to throw the rose petals ok!" He told the kids.
"What? What aisle?" I asked.
He ignored and as soon as we turned another corner, I saw Matt.
There were people sitting in chairs and a priest at the little alter that was set up. A wedding.
"Oh My God!" I said covering my mouth as tears were forming.
"Are you ready?" Cameron asked.
I nodded my head and we walked towards the aisle.
Music started playing and I walked down the aisle.
