↳ A coma sends Y/n to another world; and to his terror, it's none other than an otome game! Luckily, he's a mere side character-the supportive, gentle brother of the female lead. Y/n's only...

Elysian Heights — the Academy. Only a matter of days remain before Y/n has to attend.
There is just one tiny problem: Y/n, now posing as Livio, knows nothing about mana. Nothing about academy tests either. He's been too preoccupied with a certain prince to think about anything else. And then there's the novel's plot — Arion and Y/n spoke a few days ago, and now it's the day of Angelina's second 'first-meet' event — this one involving Elliot, a knight and a commoner.
How will they meet? It's predictable: Elliot wants a sword he can't afford. Angelina, wealthy and generous, offers to buy it for him. Elliot feels indebted and spends all his time trying to repay her. To be honest, it's a dangerous setup: Y/n doubts it's even love. Perhaps Elliot isn't obsessed with her, just with the idea of repaying a debt. One wrong move, and the bad ending activates — Elliot betrays Angelina.
Worse, the only reason Y/n knows the event has begun is because he sees a carriage leave for the city square, where the meeting happens. It's likely they've already met. Now all Y/m can do is prevent his sister from seeing Elliot again — through any method he can think of. It has to be casual and neutral — it can't be controlling, but Y/n isn't sure on how he's going to be able to pull that off.
Checking out the city square can't hurt, he reasons. He's starting to feel cooped up, despite living in an enormous manor.
"Young master, the Count calls for you."
The voice breaks him out of his thoughts. Y/n sits up, startled. He barely remembers the relationship between Livio and his father from the game. He knows Angelina's mother is dead — and the dialogue pops unbidden into his mind.
[Why is it always Livio, father? Why do you favor him and neglect your daughter?]
[Is it because you think I killed your wife — my mother? That my birth caused her death? Why choose Livio? Because he shares her hair?]
Y/n pauses.
Oh.
Livio has a good relationship with the Count. The Count adores him, pampers him, spends time with him, and neglects his daughter. Another predictable plot point:. Angelina never received much affection early in life — except from her brother.
No wonder she seems so fond of Livio.
For the first time, Y/n feels a pang. He is stepping into Livio's life. The person Angelina and the Count love isn't him: it's someone else.
"...Then I'll go." Y/n says, opening the door. "Is Father in his study?"
The maid blushes scarlet, stuttering. "Yes, Young Master."
Handsome, intelligent, influential. Y/n doesn't see why Livio isn't popular. Not that it matters. At least he isn't the villain or main character — he's a side character in this story.
