Chapter 13: The Trickster Beanfest

Meanwhile, in front of the main school building...

Jade approaches Night Raven College and finds a good spot, "This should be a suitable spot."

But suddenly, he hears Azul's voice, "Heh. I knew you'd come here, Jade."

Jade soon sees Azul standing in front, "Azul!"

"The main school building overlooks the coliseum, making it a perfect sniper's roost. Rook was right. I imagine your intention was to let Cater's group draw the enemies out, then pick us off and eliminate the lot of us. But I'm afraid your plan has gone up in smoke," Azul says.

Then aims his weapon at Jade, "You're going down, right here and now. My grade is riding on it!"

"Heh... Azul," Jade says and shows a smirk on his face, "I fully expected you to anticipate my consider you fit to be Octavinelle housewarden for a reason—you're a quick thinker and a farsighted planner."

"You should know we're enemies right now. No plea you make is going to get you anywhere with me. Your long-range bean launcher won't do you much good when we're this close—" Azul says.

But soon notices something off, "AH!"

Jade chuckles, "Heh heh heh... What's wrong? You're not going to capture me?"

"...I see your game now, Jade," Azul says in realization, "Sparing Rook... That was intentional, wasn't it?"

"Why would you say that?" Jade questions.

"Your bean blaster isn't even loaded, is it? That intel from Rook was a means of luring me out here. Your real weapon isn't visible at all. In fact, I bet you're planning to use the smallest member of the Farmers Team," Azul says, "It's Sereia!"

Back at the Coliseum field.

Cater calls out, "Now, guys!"

Jack, Rook, Jasper, and Tanzanite see Briar, Grim, and Sereia making their way to the Harp.

"What?! When did you get behind me, Tricksters?!" Rook asks, shocked.

Grim laughs, "Myeh heh heh! Our Shrink for Thirty Seconds potion let 'em circle around you."

"Get clear, Rook!" Jack shouts.

Briar aims her weapon, "Take that!"

And Briar mananges to hit Rook, "Ouch!"

"WOOHOO! You bagged a monster!" Grim says and fires his weapon at Tanzanite.

Tanzanite yelps, "I've been hit!"

Quick, Briar, throw all the beans we've got at Jack!" Grim shouts.

"Take that!" Briar shouts.

Then fires at Jack.

"You little... You think you can hit ME?" Jack angrily says, and dodges the beans.

Cater is shocked, "Dude, did he just dodge all our beans point-blank?

"He twisted in mid-air to weave through them! " Briar says.

"What kinda ninja acrobatics...?!" Cater replies, impressed.

Jasper fires, "I got you!"

And fires his beans at the others.

Briar tries to dodge and fires her beans at Jasper.

"Whuh-oh. We're outta ammo, guys!" Grim says, and yelps after being hit by the bean.

Jasper and Briar end up getting hit by the bean as well. Cater also ends up getting hit by the bean. And none of the beans have hit Sereia at all.

Sereia grows wary, "I... I'm the only one left on my side.

Cater calls out, "Sereia, get running! The harp's right in front of us! All we have to do is touch it, and we win!"

"Get it, Sereia! Go, go, go!"

"Hurry!" Briar calls out.

"Okay!" Sereia says, and runs to the Harp at full speed.

Jack growls in anger, "Grrr, I don't think so!" And dashes towards Sereia.

Sereia runs as fast as she can and makes a dive towards the harm as Jack dives towards her. Who will win?
