The Professor sat on his chair, Atlas next to him

The Professor sat on his chair, Atlas next to him. She was nearly falling asleep, which she really needed by the way, while he was deep in thought.

A phone ring caused both of them to jump up, exchange a quick look and place the headsets over their ears, before he picked up the receiver and she took care of the voice changer.

"Hello."

Edinburgh leaned back and folded a little origami. The man was watching the movements of her fingers, while he talked with the inspector on the other side of the phone.

"Good evening."

"This is Juan Murillo, inspector in charge of negotiations. Who's this?"

"The man in charge of the heist." He answered back, his eyes never leaving the paper in Atlas' hands. "How are you colleagues doing?"

"Well, at the moment, we don't have any casualties."

"I'm glad. Honestly, I'm glad."

The phone call continued for a while, Atlas couldn't really remember every single word, due to the fact that she wasn't listening 'cause she was tired, but a single sentence brought her back from her thoughts.

"What are you wearing?"

"What?"

She couldn't help but smile.

If everything went wrong, the professor once said, there was only one thing we should always have in mind. The most important object for this heist.

"Well, this was a touching moment. Tell me, what do you want?"

"Time."

Time, exactly.

~~~
A couple of minutes later, Atlas placed her finished, little red origami figure onto the table, presenting it to the man next to her.
"I'll think about your request."
With that he hung up the phone, a little grin on his face. The professor looked over at her, who had her headset now down, hung around her neck, while she buried her face in her hands. He couldn't help but stare at her, wondering what was going on inside her head.
"Edinburgh?"
His voice caused her to snap up and look at him, her dark eye bags immediately standing out. "Hm?"
"Can you teach me how you do the origami?"
A little smile formed on her face. Atlas sat up, headed over to the little corner where the beds and clothes were and pulled out a bunch of colored pieces of paper, before walking back over to him, sitting down in her chair again.
"So," she started, giving him a blue square paper. "So, first of all you just have to fold all the ends together, like this- watch." Edinburgh folded the paper in her hands as delicate as she was, him completely focused on her work.
He copied her steps as best as he could, keeping quiet while there was a comfortable aura around them.
While Atlas was focused on her work, she didn't see the Professor's glances or how he looked at her. Her soft and calm voice was music to his ears, even more when paired with her sweet smile that made her look innocent, yet there was something about her that made him want to know more about her and who she truly is, something that was keeping secrets, a mystery that was not easy to unravel.
That was something that was also quite attractive to the man sitting a few inches next to her.
Edinburgh began to show him what she was doing while explaining herself and Sergio felt the time stop, everything was still. He didn't want to miss a single movement of her, it was charming, how she made paper turn into birds and how she looked at him while she did it, a look so pure that she wasn't aware of.
She was not aware of the butterflies in his stomach or how his heart beat faster whenever she got close or was in his sight. She didn't feel how much she made his day, how she was his escape and his comfort. Sergio wouldn't admit it, but he was getting lost in her and he didn't want to let her go. She was his light when everything felt dark. He couldn't deny feeling something when the beautiful woman in front of him looked at him, he had to look away before it was too late, when his gaze lingered he started to feel heat on his cheeks.
Atlas had to bite back the little smile forming on her face and just hoped she wasn't blushing. She was completely aware of his gaze lingering on her and how his eyes didn't move a single inch away. Slowly she turned to him, eyes blinking a couple times.
"P-professor..?"
Her voice broke him out of his thoughts and he quickly looked away from her, fixing his glasses. "Hm?"
She directed to the paper in her hands, mentioning to continue. He nodded and smiled softly.
"Okay, then.."
~~~

"..."

Atlas raised a brow at The Professor's creation.

"Well... it's definitely something. Practice makes perfect."

She turned her head to the side to look at it, while his face had gotten red now. She knew he probably wouldn't make it perfect on the first try, but it just looked so.. no idea, to be honest. It was weird.

"Just- how did you.. Okay, forget it, we'll try again." She handed him a new paper, a sweet smile on her face.

"So, we'll start with that again..."
