。As I lay in bed, in the dead of night
I tossed and I turned, gripped with fright
For outside I heard, a most dreadful fight
Cries and screams pierced through the night
rose from my bed, my heart filled with dread
And crept to the window to see what was said
There below on the street, a gruesome sight I met
Bodies strewn on the ground, blood-soaked and wet
I gasped and recoiled, my nerves were beguiled
What evil was here that left good men defiled?
I knew I must flee, escape the vile glee
That lurked in the dark for victims like me
So into the night, I took hasty flight
The images etched in my mind causing blight
I dared not look back, kept to the black
For the evil that slew them was surely on my track
The creatures that did this, whatever they were
I hoped I'd escape them, I said a quick prayer
All I could do was run, under the moon
And pray they did not catch me, that I'd escape doom 。
