Oli~
Without any hesitation I took off after her, running past all the tables and dodging a waiter, all leading up to me crashing out the front doors.
I found myself standing in the gravel parking lot under the light of the bar sign, the dark night sky looming over me along with the feeling of panic from not being able to see Autumn right away.
I turned my head in every direction to attempt to spot the fleeing Autumn, hoping to stop her and figure out what had happened.
What the hell had happened in the bathroom? Was she going to leave again like she had in California?
Surveying my surroundings I noted that there was nowhere to run to this time to cool down. If Autumn was to be anywhere right now it would be trailing down the side of a nearly pitch black highway road; or hog tied in the backseat of some serial killer's truck.
A cold shudder went down my spine at the thought. I needed to find her. I needed to protect her.
"Dammit Adri." I muttered, throwing my hands to my sides. The little trust I had for her, thrown out the door.
Squinting my eyes and shuffling my feet forward a little, I saw the tour buses lined up under a blinking streetlight and then another glowing illuminatingly.
Brightly, revealing Autumn.
Autumn stood on top of our tour bus's steps, fiercely jiggling the handle. She looked really desperate to get inside, but she very obviously lacked the key.
"Autumn!" I called out, my voice relieved as ever. I immediately took off towards her in a jog, my vans kicking up gravel.
Something strong inside of my chest was feeling excited to see her, a smile crept on my face without me being able to control it. As I got closer, that feeling got stronger along with the pace of my heart.
Autumn turned her head and looked at me for a mere second, startled by my voice. Her eyes narrowed at the sight of me. Quickly, Autumn returned her gaze back down to the locked handle, furiously jiggling it faster.
I was close enough to hear her mutter, "Fuck," in an angered tone that I had never heard from her before.
She let up on the handle and fully turned her body to me, as if surrendering her fight. Without saying a word, she gracefully stepped down the stairs of the bus and walked towards me; meeting me right in the center front of the bus, her hands on her hips. A five foot gap between us.
The smile that her lips formed wasn't kind or happy. It was the kind you'd see on a bully that was about to lash out.
Before I could speak or tell Autumn how relieved I was to see her, Autumn asked in a mocking voice, "Can I help you, Oliver?"
I stepped closer to her, closing the gap to three mere feet.
"Wh-"
"Sorry, I'm only serving one big plater of 'Fuck Ups' tonight." She rolled her eyes, her arms were crossed and she was glancing away to the bus. Autumn's posture reminded me of how Adri always stood, arms crossed lazily but her curves strikingly flaunted in the way that she stood.
"Autumn, what the hell? What did Adri say to you?" I question, my voice worry filled. What was she talking about? Had Adri told her? What had Adri told her?
She uncrossed her arms and moved closer to me.
Two feet away."I'm done being a fucking screw up."
My face changed from worried to confused in a matter of seconds. I stared into Autumn's glazed eyes. Though, she didn't return my look of care. She couldn't see how much I cared. Or how much I noticed.
