"So what's with 'Mr. Parks'?" I question in a teasing tone as Dev placed a glass filled with liquor in front of me. Still standing, Dev held up a finger and downed his drink. He then slammed the glass on the table, some of the remaining liquid splashing out of my glass onto the table.
"Aye, Connor, keep the drinks comin' over here." Dev commanded at the bartender behind the VIP bar.
Dev then took a seat in the booth and slid closer to me.
"Mr. Parks is my dad, he gave me the place as a 21st birthday gift and is now all mine. I've owned the place for a little over a year." Dev explained, his voice was naturally cocky. He examined our surroundings like he was very proud of himself.
I picked up my glass and took a sip and commented with a smirk on my face, "Well, Recardo seemed scared shitless of you."
Dev laughed and eyed me, "Not me they are afraid of. They still think my dad owns the place and is calling all the shots from a higher level, when in reality my dad is in Europe driving foreign cars or getting married for the eighth time." Dev shrugged, "Believe me, the original Mr. Parks is far worse than me."
"Sounds vicious." I respond, nodding my head with a grin.
I finished off my drink and right when I set it on the table, Connor the bartender was in front of our booth setting down two new glasses filled with more booze. Dev nodded a thanks to him as he took our two empty glasses and retreated back to the bar.
Dev leaned closer to me with his drink in hand, "So, tell me about you."
I scoffed and laughed, I picked up my drink and guzzled it down and then answered, "What's to tell?"
"Good, I see we are over that," Dev replied hastily; setting his drink down onto the table, I raised in eyebrow out of confusion.
Dev leaned in and planted his lips on mine, his hands on my cheeks and pulling my face to his. I didn't kiss him back and immediately pulled away exclaiming, "What the hell?"
"Well, we are in the Dancing Devil," Dev said and laughed sexily.
Dev leaned in again and pressed his lips against mine.
And this time I didn't pull away.
Autumn~
Isn't it crazy how at some moments you think of things from a long time ago or small irrelevant things you wonder why you even remember? Or why you can't get them out if your head?
As I kissed Dev I couldn't stop thinking about how when it was me and Oli on the bus together hanging out, he seemed so happy. With his smile when I told or joke or was just plainly droning on, he smiled. And listened. He actually listened to my words and understood. Oli understood me. He didn't judge me.
"Dev, I have to go." I say hastily as I climbed off his lap and tried to get out of the booth. It was weird of me and rude but I had to get back to them, I had to get back to Oli; his smile still replaying in my head.
I was at the edge of the booth about to stand up when Dev caught my wrist and I turned to face him, my bottom nearly off the booth.
"What's the rush? Don't you need to thank the guy who got you drunk?" Dev smirked, his face suddenly was twisted and I was slightly scared.
"I have to go, I'm really sorry, Dev. My friends are waiting for me. Let go, please." I ask in a sudden pleading way, I took my other hand and tried to pry his fingers off.
"You bitch, what the hell? Think you can come and be ungrateful to me in my club like that after I have been kind to you?" Dev then pulled on my wrist and brought me closer to him by force, his alcohol flavored lips smushed against mine.
