Truth and Lie are two mistresses of Belief. He lies with them beneath the starry sky of situations to build chaos and conclusions respectively. The blizzard of circumstances helps in prevailing the heat of passion.

It still makes Raghuveer wonder whom to trust and whom to call delusional. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. He was happy before the arrival of the Saint, now he weeps alone in the corner of the very room where he had first touched her. The satin study held so many memories of passionate nights spent in shadows. Who was with him all those times?

A shudder passes down his spine thinking if he had laid with a ghost.

In the long lines of Ranas, he might be the first one to experience such a scenario. Where his ancestors were either great warriors, revolutionaries, alcoholics or womanizers, he has upped the chart by playing the doting husband for a ghost! Feeling revolted, he prayed in his mind for the first time to let it be all a sick joke. Once proven wrong, he will move out of this fort along with Vasundhara and never show his face again. His father better start preparing for body bags because if what the saint claimed doesn't come to light, he will gladly slay him and finish the chapter.

An atheist like him never cared about morals.

Suddenly a hand landed on his shoulder. Raghuveer jolted out of his stupor and turned to face the intruder, only to greet the brilliant aura of the saint's youngest disciple- Sundaram Arya Madhusudan. The earlier thought circulating in Raghuveer's mind immediately corroded, and a strange peace engulfed him. The disciple was young, probably in his early 20's.

He had arrived late in the evening with three of his friends to aid the Saint. His boyish features melted into a small smile as he gestured at the prince to join the Saint at the unlit fire pit.

Raghuveer clenched his jaw and turned to follow the command when in reality, he wanted to flee. The atmosphere had suddenly thickened with tension as the residents of Nilgiri prepared the main hall of Chandra Mahal for the upcoming ritual.

All the servants were asked to vacate the premises after serving the dinner and shifted to the quarters of Chitrakoot Palace. On the other hand, Garima and Aryan were forced to leave the fort by Rajyavardhan under the guise of attending a conference in Ukraine. The old man was wary of keeping his second daughter-in-law in such a negative environment as she was also pregnant and carrying the future heir of Rana Clan.

Aryan was unwilling to leave at first. He wanted to stay behind for his brother, but the latter coaxed him to follow their father's command and ensure the continuation of the legacy in case of any mishap.

Now, the Chandra Mahal stood empty with only a lonely mistress occupying its master's chamber. An oblivious Vasundhara was sent to bed early, as the others prepared for the ritual in the main hall of the Chandra Mahal on the ground floor.
