Estella
"We should stop seeing each other, James." I cut straight to the chase, and the lit-up features of the boy in front of me fall as a nearly agonized look creeps into his eyes.
"What do you mean? Why is this, of all things after weeks of no contact, what you wanted to talk about?" He frets.
"You know the truth now. My father and my entire family are dark wizards. And knowing you, and your family, the two of us seeing each other was never logical. We were blinded by infatuation for each other and oversaw the true problem: The long-standing Potter-Black feud." I explain,
"You don't need to worry about that. You aren't dark like your family-"
"You don't know that." I cut him off,
"I do!" he nearly shouts, "I do know that, because I have seen your light, I have been affected by it."
"No. You've been infected by it. It's false light, and not a single artificial thing could be healthy. I have poisoned you, and I am sorry. But we need to part ways and go back being nothing more than peers."
"What about Sirius? He's your bloody cousin, he has the same dna as you all, and he and I have been best mates since we were like ten! You could be like him, you know."
"I can't be like him. If I were to I wouldn't only lose my family's little respect they have for me, but I would lose Narcissa, and Bella, and Reggie, a-and I can't risk all that over just some boy."
"Just some boy, huh?" His hazel eyes, now darker than they used to be, go dim. "Very well, Black. See you on the train." He turns and leaves the fountain, striding through the doors and the flow of his crimson robes was the last I saw of him that night.

"And then I walked away," I finish the story to Sirius in my bed. With the curtains around us and a silencing charm cast, I told him everything that happened tonight with Stella.
"Bloody hell, mate," he mumbles, "She's not thinking clearly, I can assure you that. I have to admit though, I am sad about this; I was rooting for you guys."
"Yeah, so was I," I laugh humorlessly,
"Hey, give it the summer. I'll talk to her and try to see if she'll come to her senses," I nod and stare down.
"She's scared," I whisper, "She said she doesn't want to lose her sisters, or Regulus. And she's scared of her own family, that's just bloody wrong."
"She'll be alright, I'll make sure nothing bad happens over summer."
Even though he said that, giving this war and everything in between, I didn't quite trust him.

On the train I sit silently in a compartment with Regulus, Narcissa, and Bellatrix. Narcissa and Regulus are reading, while Bellatrix practices the killing curse over and over on a plant.
"The ministry's gonna track that," I tell her,
"They can't." She says, a smirk on her face. "A charm father created has made my spells and wand untraceable by the ministry."
I sigh, and as I was contemplating just pulling out my own book to read, Sirius stops at the door and jerks his head to the left, indicating for me to go with him.
"Estella don't you dare," Bellatrix scowls at me,
I ignore her and get up, open the door and exit, closing it behind me.
