Ch 1: Two Heroes are Born! Part 1

Madison's POV....

"The thing you need to understand about the old legends is that the story is never finished. There may be no pages left to turn, but there is always more to The Journey. Rising from the netherworld the Demon Bull King attacked. No one could stop him, No one could resist. No one, except...the legendary Monkey King and Persephone. The Monkey King used his magical staff and Persephone used her Powers to pick up a nearby mountain. They trapped the Demon Bull King underneath it. The Monkey King and Persephone sealed the mountain with The Staff that no one being could wield, trapping the Demon Bull King forever. With the battle won, the Monkey King vanished and Persephone went to the underworld never to be seen again. Legend says the staff still lies on top of that mountain. The one thing keeping our world from certain destruction. And with the Demon Bull King gone, civilization was able to advance into the amazing city we now live in."

"A world of elegant cultures. Gentle, loving people. A city brimming with five star cuisine. And all because of the Monkey King and Persephone!" Me and MK look up from his book at stare back at Tang, "That's so good! Monkey King's so cool! He's so strong! And handsome." I nod my head in agreement, "Oh, MK. And you thought you knew all the Monkey King stories." I stood up and brush the dust from my clothes, "He does though." MK appears next to Tang, "Oh but I do. I got his whole life documented extensively in this unauthorized auto-biography of Monkey King. Written and illustrated by yours truly." He really did do all that, "Hey Mr. Tang are there any more legends about Persephone." I'm more into Greek mythology but that's second place when it comes to Monkey King, "No sorry Maddie there's no more information about her except that she married the King of the Underworld."

I smile at him, "Thanks anyway." I notice MK still info dumping about Monkey King and Tang picks up a piece of paper, "It's nice to know someone is taking in all these stories. Pearls of wisdom, dripping from my lips." He clears his throat, "Well, you know the deal. One story, one free bowl of jajangmien. Hm?" "Huh? Oh, right, free noodles! Yep, on it! How heavy do you think a mountain is, compared to, like...." Pigsy's spoon hits the bowl, "Free noodles? No one gets a free meal at Pigsy's!" He yells at us, "I'm not running a charity here, Tang." Dang, Tang pushes Pigsy's away, "Ah, but, Pigsy, I was paying with wisdom." He's pushing it, "Yeah? Well, wisdom don't pay the rent, you freeloader!" And he turns to us, "And you two!" MK hides behind me, "You two been slacking off all morning. I've got a dozen orders that need to go out. So quit slacking and get packing!" I smirk at him, "Yeah, We were about to take our breaks, so..."

Wrong words to say to Pigsy, "Break? Break? There's no break in war! I need workers. Soldiers in the army of Pigsy's noodles! Home do the world's longest noodles! How else am I going to expand my business into enemy territory?" MK gets out of his hiding spot, "Uh, do you mean across the street?" I nod and see the two chefs glare at each other, "I stand by my statement." He gives us two noddle bags, "Now, hurry up!" I run to the delivery bike and start it up, "Come on, dude." I hear Pigsy attacking Tang and MK walks up to the bike and sits on the back of the bike and I start it, I saw him put his headphones on and I use my phone to get the directions for the delivery. The first delivery is somewhere abandoned...cool, I stop the bike and we head downstairs with the elevator, MK is just dancing around holding the food and we head to the destination, "It feels like I've waited an eternity for this moment."

Holy Chalupa, there's something really evil and bad about to happen! We see two people standing in front of us, "Is everything in order?" "Just making the final adjustments, Mother." Ooh glowing red eyes, they must be like the antagonists of the show, MK freaks out and hides and he forgot me! I need to know what's going on, MK grabs my wrist and pulls me near him, "Aww come on man." I whisper to him and he shushed me so we can listen in to the dark and mysterious characters, "Finally, after all this time, we have the means to lift Monkey King's legendary staff." I notice the legendary staff... woah Monkey King's staff...how did they manage to find it after 1,000 years, "Wow! Monkey king's staff!" I shush him, "Shut it, I wanna listen to what they're saying." MK and I move to the ceiling and hold on to some pipes, "My love will finally be returned once we remove the Staff." Some kinda bull grabs the staff and tries to pull it out but fails, I notice a fan bird next to MK and there's a flower on the pipe, why are flowers growing in a place like this? "You fool! You think we didn't try that already? It's going to take more than a few robots to lift the Monkey King's staff. Only those deemed worthy can wield it.

"But I, Red Son have designed this gauntlet to bend it to my will." I'm gonna him Flame Guy and he brings out a metal hand, MK gasps and he almost falls off if it wasn't for me, holding his hand so he stayed on and held the food with his mouth, Flame Guy grabs the staff and after a few tries he successfully pulls it out of the mountain, if this didn't cause total destruction to Megapolis I would applaud him, "Yes, I did it!" Turns out the bulls started to clap for him, "What!? Why isn't anything happening? Mother, are you sure this is the right mountain?" Dang he's questioning his own mother, Guys for guts, "No. Maybe it was the other mountain with the magical staff sealing away my husband." The ground shakes and some green has appears too, I try to hold on to the pipe, "Yes, Father. Rise! Rise!" He laughs then cackles.

The Demon Bull King is alive! Awesome! "Flesh. Bone. I have returned to the realm of the living." I try holding on but doing this for a while gets tiring, We turn around and see a bird near MK's hand, "No! Shoo! Go away!" He says shooing the bird away but it stays and walks near my hand that's also holding MK's and pecks on it, "Ow! Go away you little..." I can still hear the conversation, "Oh, Demon Bull King. How I've missed you." "Princess Iron Fam. The years have been kind. How did you free me?" "Actually, it was I, Father. I moved the Staff. I learned how to harness it, to make its power, my... o-our power." "Excellent." "Now, together, we the Demon Bull family will plunge the world into eternal darkness." I look back at the bird, "You wouldn't dare." It looks at me and pecks it again, causing me to let go and we both fall.

I close my eyes and I get up, "I'm gonna kill that bird." And I notice that I'm on top of MK and Flame Guy, the staff is on the floor and the DBK is right in front of us, "Someone order noodles?" Please fall for this nonsense, "Ugh! Get off me, you idiots!" I get off Flame Guy and help MK get back on his feet, "Do you know what you just did? You ruined my moment!" "And I care why?" Flame Guy was about to yell at me but DBK stood next to him, "Some little eavesdroppers have fallen into our midst. It seems a waste to crush something so insignificant as my act as ruler of this new world, but so be it." He was about to step on us, "Wait, Father!" Flame Guy stops him, "What is this?" He coughs, "Waste not your energy on these peasants. Please, allow me to show you how powerful I have become in your absence!" "As you wish." MK grabs my hand and we start to crawl away, "Maybe we can use this chance to get away."

"In some ways..." God no, "You two are very fortunate, noodle twins." We crawl back and MK hits the staff, "Not many insects are lucky enough to be stamped out..." I tune him out, "Monkey King's Staff." I hear a whisper and another flower appears next to it, what's with the flowers, I look around and well usually I can see ghost or something related to death but now I see nothing, what is going on? "Are you even listening to me?" Flame Guy stomps his foot, "I, Red Som, will not be disrespected! You two are History!" I smirk at him, "Okay dummy, how about I don't a flying...." MK covers my mouth and nervously chuckles at Flame Guy, Flame Guy bursts more fire and I give MK the staff which he uses to block the punch, "No way! How could you possibly lift Monkey King's Staff?" We both stand up in amazement, so freakin cool! "Ah! I don't know what's going on here, but I'm about to end it! That staff is mine!"

"We're gonna die." I say and MK looks terrified, "We're supposed to be on our breaks!" He yells and swings the staff causing a golden somewhat blow to hit Flake Guy, "Woah!" His face was pretty burnt but it looked alright, "Uh, that was way more explosive than I expected." The woman hits the staff on the ground, "Stay back! I don't know how I'm doing this stuff!" "That Staff doesn't belong to you, little boy. Hand it over." We look at each other, "Mm, no?" The staff stabs itself to the ground, "Okay, I didn't even move that time!" "He didn't it's cursed!" The staff becomes shorter and extends us in the air it does some curves and waves, "We're gonna dieeeeeeee!" I yell.
