Noel's POV
It's been two weeks since the shooting incident and we can say not much has happened since.
The only thing I did after returning that day was tell Pérez that Cyrus was actually back, I got an earful because I was supposed to kill him years ago.
That's when I understood he actually knew that Cyrus was back, the confirmation mission was just a way of telling me.
He wanted me to finish the job, but finishing the job meant going back to the field which I wasn't planning on returning too anytime soon.
So I dropped the call and ignored him ever since. The problem was Pèrez was not one to be ignored.
One time I went with Sera, our general worker to buy groceries and I noticed we were being followed.
Accepting the hero role I approached the dude following us and found out he was sent by Pérez from LA.
The thing was he didn't send him so that he could kill me or something no, he sent him to give me his phone so that I could stop ignoring him.
Rolling my eyes, I took the call and his angry voice rang out.
That was how I was forced back into the field again to finish a mission I didn't four years ago.
Was I happy? No, but I had to otherwise I wouldn't be free of this life.
That was the condition, finish the mission and get freedom forever.
Of course I took it, I wanted nothing to do with this life anymore.
"Helloo, earth to Noel" Someone snapped their fingers in front of my face, I turned to them.
"Did you even hear a thing I said?" Luca asked and I regained my composure.
"Yeah, yeah I did" he gave me a look.
"Really? What did I say?"
"You love me?" I asked definitely noticing how high my voice was.
"Noel"
"Okay fine I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention"
"What were you thinking about?" he questioned.
"Nothing important, what were you saying?" I asked looking at him. He had this unsure look on his face but quickly dismissed it.
"I was just reminding you about the match that you promised to come to".
"Oh yeah, when is it?" I asked.
"Tomorrow"
"Cool, I'll come"
"What about Damien?" he asked.
"What about Damien?"
"Won't he like restrict you and like tell you about how it's dangerous what what?" That sentence baffled me, did the intent to protect restrict individuals from attending their brother's games?.
"I don't think he would go that far, plus these days he's too busy to care about what I'm doing, definitely sure he won't care about where I'm going"
"Have you met Damien Cassano, my scary brother?"
"He doesn't scare me"
"He should"
"Do you want me at this game or not!?" I asked because these questions were starting to decrease my hopes.
"Okay okay I'll stop, I do want you to come and cheer me on the loudest, so tell you what I'll make sure we get to the game even it means I sneak you out"
