Noel's POV
It's been two weeks since the shooting incident and we can say not much has happened since.
The only thing I did after returning that day was tell Pérez that Cyrus was actually back, I got an earful because I was supposed to kill him years ago.
That's when I understood he actually knew that Cyrus was back, the confirmation mission was just a way of telling me. Somehow, I understood that him bringing it up wouldn't just end there that's why I hung up before he even had the chance to say what he wanted.
One time I went out with Sera, the Cassano housekeeper to buy groceries and I noticed we were being followed. Seeing as he had not attacked us from the moment he started following us, I figured he wasn't there to do harm hence I accepted the hero role and approached the dude. Nothing prepared me to find out he was sent by Pérez from LA.
The thing was, he didn't send him so that he could kill me or something, he sent him so that he could give me his phone because I had been ignoring him following that day I hung up on him. It had been four days after by the way.
Rolling my eyes I took the call and his angry voice rang out. He went on and on about how he was the Don of the second largest mafia in the world and how everyone else would kill to have him talk to them yet I hung on him and even ignored him. I as usual, had no intention of listening to whatever he was yapping about so I prepared to drop the call again.
"Noel, seriously if you hang up on me again I swear...." he left the words unsaid, one would thing that frightened me but I was just concerned about how he knew I wanted to hang up on him again.
I sighed.
He kept on saying things that did not interest me in the slightest.
"Do you want to be free of this life?" Now that interested me, and was how I was forced back into the field again to finish a mission I didn't four years ago.
Was I happy? No, but I had to. When I said I wanted to live like a normal teenager I meant it, I simply couldn't let go of an opportunity that literally landed on my feet.
This was the perfect chance to escape this life and letting go of it would be just foolish work from my side.
"Helloo, earth to Noel" Someone snapped their fingers in front of my face, I turned to them.
"Did you even hear a thing I said?" Luca asked and I regained my composure.
"Yeah, yeah I did" he gave me a look.
"Really? What did I say?"
"You love me?" I asked, definitely noticing how high my voice was.
"Noel"
"Okay fine I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention"
"What were you thinking about?" he questioned.
"Nothing important, what were you saying?" I asked looking at him. He had this unsure look on his face but quickly dismissed it.
"I was just reminding you about the match that you promised to come to".
"Oh yeah, when is it?" I asked.
"Tomorrow" so soon? What was I even going to wear?
"Cool, I'll come" I agreed either way.
"What about Damien?" he asked.
"What about Damien?"
"Won't he like restrict you and like tell you about how it's dangerous what what?" That sentence baffled me, did the intent to protect restrict individuals from attending their brother's games?.
