Noel's POV

When we got to the hospital, the sight of my family in such distress broke my heart.

I looked towards Damien, he was standing near the operation door, no emotions displayed on his face.

It hurt seeing him like that, he took into consideration that the enemy might be watching so he  acted strong just so they wouldn't think they had won.

I hated this so much, no one deserved to live like this.

I made my way toward him just to offer support but caught sight of Luca near the corridor chairs.

My heart broke even further.

Poor Luca.

There he was with a bloodied shirt looking all lost and lifeless. He was just starring into the ground possibly four minutes away from exploding.

"Luca" I called out to him after getting closer. He slowly looked up with his eyes revealing every little demon he was fighting.

For the first time in years I wanted to cry, I wanted to let my guard down and let the tears fall without a care in the world but just like Damien I also had to take some things into consideration.

So the only thing I could do was to hug him.

At first he didn't hug me back, it was only me giving the comfort but then after a few minutes I felt his hands slowly wrap around me.

"We're gonna be fine, I promise"

"Aunt won't just leave us behind, you know why?" I didn't get a verbal response but I knew he was listening and wanted me to continue.

"It's because she loves us, she loves you, uncle, Damien, Stefan... everyone so she won't leave. She can't " I said that with a little more emotion than I intended and that lead to Luca letting the flood gates open.

I held him not daring to stop him because letting his fear and pain go was needed.

His stifled sobs did not escape the ears of the others, Alex was the first to respond as he came over and engulfed us in a hug of his own.

I swear, whoever did that to my aunt was going to pay.

*******

Three full hours passed without receiving any news from the doctor. The light right above the operation room was still red indicating that the surgery was still in place.

I was sitting on the chairs with Damien next to me. All this waiting got me wanting some thing to snack on, just to clear my head.

"Damien" I called him and he turned to me looking tired.

"I'm going to get something to drink or something" I said standing up.

"Where are you going to get it?"

"I saw a vending machine on our way in I'll just get it there"

"Alright let me go with you" he was about to stand but I stopped him.

"No no it's fine I can go by myself" he gave me a look then turned to the others. Alex and Angela were sleeping on the chairs opposite to ours. Luca and Stefan went to the car about two hours ago because Luca got a migraine for crying too much.

Uncle was just not with us mentally, understandably so.

The only people left to go with since I definetly knew I wasn't going to go alone were Adrian and Sandro.

Right then the Cassano bodyguards entered.

"I'll take Joey" Joey looked at me suprised.

"Okay" Damien said then went to talk to the leader of the bodyguards regarding the shooter atleast that's what I heard.
